Just got back from blacksticks me and 3 of my work collegues, WOW what a fantastic night we had. The food is absolutely gorgeous, the staff were excellent in fact I cannot fault anything. I will definitely be returning and my collegues have said the same. I would recommend this place to anyone, its food with a difference that is not only mouth watering its too die for. Book first though to avoid disappointment. Please try it you will not be disappointed.

Poor service, one member of staff was unprofessional and rude. She walked away whilst I was talking to her. It eventually became clear that although we had been told if we arrived 30 minutes before our booking we would be seated at the first available table, this was a lie. They knew when we arrived our table would not be available for 8.30, but did not tell us this and told us we could only sit at the table they had allocated to us. The large group on the table we had been allocated had not even ordered desert by 8.40! Nobody told us how long our table would be, or apologised for the delay. Is this a ploy to get people to spend money in the bar? We were eventually seated at 8.55, guess what at a different table, not the one they said we had to sit at!. Again, no apology for the delay. The staff who served us were OK and the food is nice. However, long wait and rude staff spoil the overall experience. Will be going to Smiths in future.

Will never order again dont see how hard it is to get an order right ..ordered lamb balti and got chicken that i don't like...sort your staff out MASS its rediculous.

Having travelled up from Kent to see my family, we booked a table for 14 people on 14/04/2012 at 9pm. We arrived early at 8.30pm and went upstairs for a drink, after several conversations with downstairs regarding our table we finally left at 10.30 and went to a local Indian. 5 star restaurant ? I DO NOT THINK SO.

just got home after early bird tea at blacksticks. my wife is a fully qualified chef and very fussy and critical every time we eat out. well done blacksticks you silenced her with your mouthwatering food friendly staff and great price early bird menu. we will definitely be returning. one tip i can offer is book because we was very lucky to get in not booking.

The best Chinese restaurant we have ever been to. Excellent food, great and friendly service, lovely moon atmosphere. We have been at least thirty times and always had a great meal

went to birthday party at this place and was treated with aggression by old man seemed in charge,I was overheard in a private conversation to say something he didn't like about table not being ready and puccini being better,well he proved it is as for birthday at puccini you do have table reserved ready for people to sit and wait special whit table cloth,and unlike Leos where we waited hour and half for food at puccinis they bring bread and olives while you wait the threatening behaviour of this man spoilt party for me,the waiters that were nice and tried to make it right I thank you but like sour milk once spoilt not not good to drink,food was very good but did not eat much so upset,as member of trip adviser have but more on that site also to community officer as did feel threatened also quit dangerous door way when very busy.in my 64yrs living and working all over the world never had an encounter like this before and have been to Italy many times.

don't go !!!!! it looked good from the outside so i asked my family if they fancied it anyway 8 of us went and to cut it short . The meat on the Sunday roast was pressed and the rest of the Sunday lunch wasn't up to much also they didn't have any apple sauce to go with the pork......my husband had gammon but they had no pineapple as advertised. also the gammon was like shoe leather one of us had breaded garlic mushrooms but they had no garlic dip so they gave him salad cream and there was only two deserts to choose from..........anyway overall it was cheap and they say you get what you pay for and we felt robbed ,,,,,,,,it was crap

We visited Pacifica yesterday after seeing it recommended on Sugarvine. The furnishings and decor are very contemporary adding to the relaxed atmosphere, the menu is extensive and varied with great emphasis put on the modern twist to the dishes and the food? Absolutely fantastic quality. We opted for the Banquet B at £25 each for Pacifica hors d'oeuvres, crispy duck with all the trimmings, fillet steak, crispy fried chicken and Sichuan seafood. Apart from a few pieces of overcooked calamari everything was tender and very tasty. One small quibble though - it would be nice to have some smiles from the staff during the meal rather than just on arrival and when paying the bill and leaving. Smiles don't cost anything but they certainly add a lot towards a memorable meal

Myself and my friend enjoyed a lovely meal in Leos last night. The atmosphere is good and it is a cosy place to eat. The waiters service was wonderful, smiling happy waiters with good customer service something that is rare these days. There is lots of choice and the food was perfect , especially the vegetable lasagna. I will definitely eat here again.

I visited Smiths again with a friend yesterday evening. As always, the food was excellent and the service a perfect blend of friendly and professional. Try the frittata on the starter menu - it's to die for! Perfect! And the new haloumi cheese starter is an unusual but piquant combination. We will be visiting again and again.

We ate here last night and the portion size was tiny. There was a lot of fat on the lamb and the chicken was about 4 mouth fulls. I had to order more food and had the cheese platter with chutney. I was given cranberry sauce instead of chutney and they pretended this was right! After complaining to the manager he knocked £2.95 off a £100 bill. We said this was not acceptable, his attitude was basically, tough, I don't care if you don't come back. Awful service and food.

went for my birthday 12.03.2011 and what a fabulous night, service was as usual brilliant, food was the best, the price couldn't be beaten. Usually its just for 2 but this time for 8, nothing was a problem for them , made for a really memorable evening. thanks so much leo's x

Its very rare to visit a place that makes you not even consider anywhere else when deciding on a meal out. The Waterside is perfect, very welcoming, excellent food and drink and great service. Highly recommended for any occasion.

I recently had lunch here on a Friday with friends and what a lunch it was. The staff were very welcoming and attentive without being in your face and the food was on the mark. I had the steak and onion baguette with thick triple cooked chips. The steak was very tender and the chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Just how I like them. The location next to the Bridgewater canal is perfect and I can definitely see this place busy in the summer as well as cosy with great views in the winter. will be going back, it was my mate who suggested the place and by the end we all agreed that we would definitely be going back for Jacks birthday next month.

i absolutely love this restaurant everytime i go they flow me away with the exceptional food they have to offer. i have recommended this restaurant to my family and friends and i cant wait to i dine her again

i have recently been to this restaurant and i can say that it has to best food around. they have a great selection on food and wine that would make your mouth water. jo,paul and all the staff are amazing, they all made me feel really welcome.i will definitely be dining at the waterside again.
