We were recommended Fabios from St Andrews Boutique guest house where we were staying for my husbands 40th birthday!!!!We had a fantastic meal,prices pretty much compared with down south!!!!!NOT CHEAP!!!!but lovely!Go.....you will enjoy......!!!!!!

Great ambience, food splendid, I had the duck breast. Food came quickly after ordering. Appears to be a popular place as the restaurant was full so lucky we reserved table. Would definitely recommend.

We always use this restaurant for special occasions.My ten year old son loves it

Hello! I went there with my mates, we had a great time and we saw some beautiful senoritas!

We went out thinking we would enjoy ourselves, my wife and I, but we came away very disappointed. The food was not very well presented, and the service could not care less. We did not leave a tip, and had a better takeaway from a chippie.

Really very good food and some unusual dishes not normally found. Very good service although somewhat pricey. Great modern setting and comfortable with very friendly staff.

we waited 25 minutes for drinks that we had ordered and decided to leave. We weren't even asked what we wanted to eat. On walking out the surly youngster who was supposed to be serving us smiled vacantly. We couldn't even find any other staff to complain to. When they know they're going to be busy they should have sufficient TRAINED staff on. Our table was pre-booked. Not at all impressed. (Have marked rating of food as poor but don't know because we never got any!)

How many of you are always looking for that "cosy little Italian restaurant" that serves good food but isn't too ostentatious and in your face? Well Inca is that restaurant. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Try the Penne Picanti. The chef will make it as hot or mild as you want. Delicious dish and the best penne pasta I've had in Edinburgh.

Lunchtime menu is good and the prices are very reasonable. service was quick. Lamb Madras was very good and unusual. Haggis Pakora sounds very interesting.

My husband and I ate at the relocated Plumed Horse, never having made it down to the original in Dumfries & Galloway. Now we see what all the fuss is about! The service is very professional yet restrained and friendly at the same time. The decor is pleasant, with lots of light from the large windows. The food is absolutely first rate, amongst the best I've ever eaten anywhere, ever! The scallops are so fresh they must have been alive that morning, as was the accompanying Sea Bass. A canneloni of Raspberries has to be eaten to be believed! A welocme addition to the rising culinary hotspot of Leith. Highly recommended on all fronts.

A party of four we booked for lunch last Saturday. The food was good (but not good enough at this price), the location & decor very disappointing and the staff adequate but somewhat subdued. Three of the party had the monkfish in pancetta main course and found it not to their taste - a risk we all take with a small menu. Everything else was OK - but only OK & I, for one, may have considered a return visit on the basis that everyone has off days. That was before we were harrassed, insulted, berated and finally followed out on to the street by an obviously 'highly strung' chef. We won't go back, we couldn't recommend it and, frankly, it probably doesn't matter - it is hard to see a long term future for the Plumed Horse when there are so many better places to go nearby.

Katie's Diner is my most favourite place to eat in Edinburgh. The food is always excellent as everything is cooked by Katie herself. I always have the Mexiburger and the Apple Crumble is wonderful. The portions are huge and come inclusive of all the extras. I recommend Katie's to all my friends.

I have eaten here several times both with my wife and with friends.I have always enjoyed myself here. Prices are very reasonable. food and wine are excellent.great atmosphere.
