I been to Zyka several times. I live in crosby. Bit far from my home but when I think about quality of the food Zyka always comes first in my mind. Specially when you consider the real taste of Indian food. As an Indian I do know what the Indian Food tastes like. Never been dissatisfied. Would highly recommend if you want to get the proper taste of Indian Meals. Service was very friendly and spot on.

This is first time visit after refurbishment, nicely done, old style, warm and comfortable. Had soup and bread ( thick tasty lentil ) followed by Old spot bangers and Bubble and Sqeak ((Mash with cabbage ) with tasty onion gravy and fried onions. washed down with a pint...All in £15 Food was plentiful, tasty and well presented. Menu was basically pub food at a reasonable price, staff were pleasant and friendly, enjoyed it and will go again.

The best indian in formby. I was recommended by a friend to try Zyka . It was friday night I took my girlfrend with me for her birthday and all I can say to everyone is try Zyka. You wont be disappointed, it was the best curry I ever had. My girlfriend was so pleased that I choose zyka for her birthday. I recommend everyone to try Zyka.

Love Shantii, Food is great, Ali an staff are certainly friendly and give good advice, we regularly eat there an cant wait for our Christmas meal there, went last Christmas an was so impressed we booked again for this year. We believe last New Year was great with a singer, so have also booked for that. Looking forward to a festive Christmas period with all at Shantii. I had always thought this very pretty looking shop- was a childrens cake shop.... But then my friend asked me to meet her there for lunch- I never knew it was a cafe/coffee shop!it is a gem of a place with the most divine fresh and affordable food I have ever come across. I really don't know how they provide that level of excellence for those prices.The ladies who own /work there are lovely, and the food they produce cannot be faulted. Even a simple Ham and Cheese Toastie(only £2.95) was elevated to star status in my mouth- quality ham that you just don't usually get these days.I have been back several times and the soup is incredible-with the freshest bread, I feel like I have gone to food heaven in this place!They have marvellous little things for children and make you really welcome. The cakes are yummy- and with 24 hours notice- the ladies will make speciality/restricted diet products for you.TOP cafe, long may it last

We booked a table at this restaurant for myself, my husband and another couple. Our waiter was pleasant but informed us that they had no more bottles of Pinot Grigio. We then asked if he could sell us the Chablis (£5 more expensive than the Pinot) for a cheaper price as that was my other favourite as well as the Pinot they had ran out if. He asked the miserable faced manager. and his answer was no. We thought he could have been a little more apologetic or at least offer an alternative. When the food arrived, it was generally very nice except for one of the side dishes of Bombay potatoes which was served to the table, stone cold. The dish was hot, but the potatoes were not. The general lack of friendliness and customer service has tainted the night for me and I wouldn't rush back there. Such simple things, what a shame.

Celebrated my boyfriends birthday at the Cross house last Saturday they had a charity band festival on, it was fab. Food was very good excellent fillet steak on the specials board very reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.

purchased a takeawy at this restaurant, not only extortionately priced (over £30 for 3 mains, 2 rice, some nan and chapattis) but the lam jalfrezi was too hot to eat and a waste of money. when i returned the dish the manager (a small annoying man) said that i should have returned it earlier - he took no account of the fact that i had to return at my own expense and in my own time with food that was inedible - hes lucky i didn't refer him to trading standards!!! Avoid this place if you can - its over priced and the service is abysmal

We visited Zyka a couple of years ago whilst passing through Formby and decided to go New Years Eve, the food was really nice, a set menu for the holiday but our waiter stated if there was nothing on the set menu we could choose from the normal menu, the staff were very friendly and accomodating and it was a great evening, cant wait to go back.

I wanted somewhere to eat in Formby and this is quite a long way away. The map isn't accurate so finding it was difficult. We arrived at 2pm and ordered straight away. It was nearly 3pm by the time our food arrived. We had a 2 yr old, so keeping him happy for that length of time was a challenge. There was nothing wrong with the food, but, by the time it arrived we were all so hungry that we would've eaten anything. We won't be going back.

The staff are great and so is the food. The managers name is Ali, is really annoying and does not show respect to his fellow workers. The layout of the place is really great and easy access to get in by.

very good value for food, staff were friendly and pleasant very good side meal ... partner was so happy to have a curry as i don't like them but i enjoyed my meal so much i would go there again might even try a curry :)

The food is fantastic, I will certainly give it that. I was very disappointed with the service though as there were only 2 tables occupied and it took them 10 minutes to offer drinks and 50 minutes to serve the starter alone. I would recommend it, but only if they speed up the service. I will try again in the future but perhaps stick to their take away for now, which seemed busy. Could have just been a one off as staff were still very polite too. Thanks

I have eaten in The Shanti several times and i am always extremely satisfied with the food and service. The staff are very pleasant and inviting. I would definitely say it is the best Indian iv ever been to. Definitely recommend!

This is my local Indian and really is the nicest Indian restaurant for miles. The customer service is spot on and the food is always beautiful cooked using good quality produce. With a good menu and realistic portions Zyka offers, the competition has something to worry about!!
