The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWent for Sunday lunch 31st March...... Food was amazing.... Staff as friendly as they come. Never been in Clifton b4... restaurant area very nicely set out.... Used to eat at Burley Arms wen Tony had it then and the main reason I went in for Sunday lunch that day...... His partner and him run a great pub to a top standard.....
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonHad a first visit and it won't be our last, the waitress was very attentive and understanding when one of our party was going to be late. Can recommend both steak and ale pie and the cheese and onion. The chips were very nice ,all the food was excellent we will definitely visit again.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonGreat service and good food. The waitress was very attentive during our dinning dining experience.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe had garlic bread and chicken strips to start which were really good.Well presented. Mains were steak and ale pie and a steak. Accompanying veg with pie not up to much. Both meals came with chips- very disappointing . Were described as triple cooked, this is questionable.Very 'flat, scrappy and hard'.The steak however was amazing, .as were the homemade onion rings :) The staff are friendly and attentive. The pub we found was a tad on the cold side. The music was 'ok' ....until the DJ started. All we can say is we were glad we were at the end of our meal. The music was blaring out!!. Some of the clientele were disruptive with their behavior .This was not picked up on by staff maybe they were too busy.... We would visit again but would choose a different time to visit. I would like to add that the new owners are evidently making a huge effort with this establishment.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonI wrote a review a few years ago and the food has changed, it’s not very good anymore, the chicken burgers are horribly disgusting.
Ship Inn – FreckletonWe are 3 fifty somethings who arrived at the restaurant on the afternoon of Saturday 22nd July. We were looking forward to a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings which had been previous experiences for all of us. Sadly, Saturday was to be completely the opposite and ended with us walking out. As we were early for our table we asked if we could sit in the bar area and have a drink. We were deliberating over a specific wine when the owner came over to ask if we were ready to order. One of my friends turned to ask if we were happy with our choice. The owner interrupted saying just yes or no. My friend tried to explain but the man just walked away and went back behind the bar. She made several attempts to apologise and stated we did not mean to offend at which point he made a comment that we were obviously brought up differently. At this juncture all 3 of us were incredulous and once again my friend tried to resolve the issue. The owner was totally dismissive and walked away. By now the atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable and people seated in the restaurant had started to look over. It was at this point we decided to leave. On our way out we tried to speak with the owner’s son whose only words were ‘I know!’ The whole experience was humiliating, unnecessary and a blatant disregard for customer service whatever their gender, race or colour.
Lorenzo’s – FreckletonFood was excellent. Waitress was fantastic..superb customer focus despite distractions by the bar lead. Waitress was 5/5 but bar lead couldn't read a bar nor trusted bar staff to take payments which resulted in long delays so 1/5 for that. Therefore 3/5 average service. Also we'd booked a table in restaurant but disappointed that free roaming dogs are allowed in that area....
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe booked a table for new years day lunch. We were greeted warmly by staff and sat near a warm open fire. The service was relaxed and good. Food was lovely we had a lamb roast which was very nice. Will definately be returning in the near future
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonFirst time here visiting my son who's recently moved to the area for work and will definitely come back again. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was excellent too! Highly recommended.

The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonGreat meal. Lovely service. Good price. Could be more eaters so get down and try it. You will be pleased
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe were met at the bar with a friendly smile and promptly asked if we would be eating. We were given a choice of tables. Once seated and we had decided what we wanted the food came quickly was very good. The black pudding starter was lovely the girls had the meze to share and enjoyed it. Mains was a mixed grill , Haloumi sizzler, pizza, and kids chicken nuggets. We all enjoyed our food and will definitely return again as this was our second visit. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful the beer was good and the atmosphere was chilled
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe had the steak on steak night . Tasty steak, lovely and helpful staff . We went early so not many diners so think better atmosphere later
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonA group of 6 ladies visited on Friday 24th June to a friendly reception and were shown to our table in the restaurant area. Good food, good service, good choices, great desserts, polite and friendly staff. This was our second visit and we would definitely visit again. Can recommend cheese pie and the steak was lovely too. (Even better when we had 2 for £23)
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWonderful meal A pleasant surprise
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonThe venue is beautiful and the staff were lovely and friendly. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my food. I ordered cheese and onion pie with mash. I was served a tiny slice of a very thin pie with burnt pastry and chips instead of mash. My boyfriend had a pizza and he loved it.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonVery grubby menus, has COVID not taught us any lessons. Mediocre food & over priced for what was served up. Food also took an hour to come & the place wasn't busy. Beer & wine were fine. Bar staff were pleasant. We'd pop in again for a drink but not for food. I don't expect sugarvine to publish this review as they only publish positive feedback, pointless!
