The Bourne Arms – Knott End-On-SeaI've been ordering from Carlitos for years and the food it always almost perfect. There was just one time where the cheesy flat garlic bread was dripping with grease. Atmosphere could have a little work but other than that good local indian.
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaOrdered 2 takeaways from them in the past. Each one was perfect. I had a chicken fillet and chips. Can't fault them, enjoyed it very much. Next best thing to a KFC!
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaThis is my absolute favourite takeaway! The owner is superb and has always been friendly throughout the years. All these reviews are a bunch of whiney snowflakes who don’t know real taste from their mums horrible seasoning. FANTASTIC STUFF !!
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaPoor customer service skills, arrogant and rude. Food average for the money.
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaThe revue of the Old Trough Tearooms is nonsense. I am the owner and only ever sit with any friends who visit or anyone who is seeking information. We flatly refuse to disturb other customers when people are talking to us by standing close to the relevant table. The food is all freshly made - remember probing examinations are made of all aspects of such establishments. It is noticeable that these people said nothing at the time. If they had, the complaint would have been entered in our copy of the Borough Council's ledger and would have included their name and address. They obviously prefer secrecy.
Old Trough Organic Tea Rooms, The – Knott End-On-SeaCalled here Wed 18 June with Wife and grandchild. The place has a lovely walk through woods. That's where the magic ends. The food we ordered was not nice at all the Apple pie was stale the custard Luke warm and weird, the egg custard must have been on the shelf for a month.but worst of all the male owner sat down at our table uninvited and talked at us until we left. I shall not return. I must add the owners were well in their eighties. Time to give it up and retire.
Old Trough Organic Tea Rooms, The – Knott End-On-SeaI had to give this establishment a one star to leave a review, but to be perfectly honest I feel that it doesn't even qualify for that! Let me explain..... Having collected from here before I sent my partner due to the fact that the male staff in here made me feel so uncomfortable. I felt they were ogling me. And if anyone knows me they know I am not one of those women who thrives off male attention, in fact quite the opposite. I feel so uncomfortable in this restaurant that I refuse to go in. So I Placed an order over the phone which consisted of 2 x chicken tikka masala, 3 chipatis, 1 garlic and mushroom pilau, a portion of chips and last but not least the garlic naan. The gentleman that answered the telephone seemed pleasant and I thought he had my order down which totalled £22.90. Reasonable ... yes. My partner drove for the order half an hour later as advised and still had to wait another 15 minutes in an empty restaurant (on a Friday night). This speaks volumes I think especially with it being the only Indian restaurant locally to the wyre/fylde villages. Being the good and doting partner that he is, he swiftly brought the takeaway home which I unpacked and to my surprise (not a good one) the order was incorrect. Instead of the yummy chicken tikka masala I was expecting I opened the boxes to find chicken tikka pieces. Not a major thing I hear you say, however as us brits know you need a bit of Sauce over the chips and rice not just dry bits of flavoured chicken. As soon as I discovered the order was incorrect I telephoned the establishment to inform them of the error. I was greeted by a rude and unhelpful member of staff. I explained the issue and he said no no that's what you ordered. To which I replied I know what I ordered. (I am a creature of habit) He then proceeded to read out the order and said you have ordered wrong then. I informed him that I have not ordered wrong. He actually accused me of being a liar. To which I replied I do not think so. He then said that maybe I forgot what I ordered. I relplied that I am a 34yr old woman and have no memory issues! He said well you are wrong. I know what I ordered. In all of this conversation there was no offer of a replacement or refund. My partner was prepared to drive back to exchange the products. Instead I was told there was nothing they could do. All we wanted was a replacement and an apology. I have worked in customer service since I left school and I was in higher management in catering and hospitality. So I am well aware of the protocols within this industry. I am thoroughly disgusted with the lack of customer service. The customer is always right! Obviously not at this restaurant. So my story ends that I didn't receive the food which was ordered and I am currently making the masala sauce myself. I did wonder why the restaurant was empty on a Friday night...... now I know and reading some of the reviews I can fully understand. What the proprietors of this establishment need to realise is that they would possibly be sitting on a gold mine if they got the orders correct and maybe had a lesson on customer service.
Cumin – Knott End-On-SeaFreshest fish. Soft barm's and perfect chips. Bang on peas plus a belting curry. Can't comment on the gravy. Queue is usually huge but for good reason and not due to a slow service!
Kays Knott End Chippy – Knott End-On-SeaSome of them have poor costumer service and can be rude at times, otherwise nice food.
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaI supply cleaning products all over the country and have yet to find a better chippy anywhere !
Kays Knott End Chippy – Knott End-On-SeaJust had our first meal at Cumin. The service was excellent, very clean, very polite and helpful staff. The food was superb 12/10. This will be our first choice Indian restaurant in future. If you dine here you will not be disappointed. Good quantity of good quality food and pleasant surroundings for a reasonable price.
Cumin – Knott End-On-SeaAbsolutely brilliant had everything they do and no complaints, the staff are very courteous I would recommend Carlitos to anyone.
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaArrogant cocky and very rude. Will not be using these every again. Need to learn on their customer service skills. Order came over a hr for 3x medium kebabs. When they arrived they were S*** and cold. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaWas told they were delicious by a friend and she was right, well worth the trip from Lancaster! We don't often have fish and chips but will definitely go again.
Kays Knott End Chippy – Knott End-On-SeaBold but true....By far the best kebab house I have ever used! It's cheaper than most kebab houses and far superior, trust me go large, it's worth every penny.
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaMother's Day lunch was out of this world. As usual Gary, Natalie, and all the staff were most welcoming, and made you feel at home. This is the best food in the area and we recommend everyone who can to get out of the house and try a wonderful experience.
