W 2 10

I bought a Groupon Voucher for afternoon tea which I, and a friend experienced last week. It was fantastic! I have had other teas with the voucher in 3 other locations, but this one was by far the best. Apart from the delicious food....enough to mean that we did not need to eat anymore that day! the staff were wonderful. They were very efficient, but great fun, too. The whole experience was delightful ....Tres Manifique! I was at a concert two days later and called in at The Brasserie to say hello. The waitresses were on a day off , but the Maitre d told me that these teas will be available without vouchers very soon. Not only will I be back for tea, I shall also be having dinner there, and hope that the experience I have already have will be at least equaled. Merci Bien everybody.

My mother and I visited this restaurant on 29/10/12. Upon arriving we were told there would be a wait of 10 minutes for a table. There were clearly free tables and when I asked why I was told that the wait was related to how many customers the kitchen could service and not what the restaurant could hold. This particular restaurant is brand new, so clearly a poor business decision has resulted in either a kitchen not big enough for the restaurant, a restaurant that is too big for the kitchen or not calling enough staff in too deal with a lunch time in school half-term in a restaurant situated within Europe's largest shopping centre. Sadly this was not the first problem we encountered. We were asked to take a seat at the bar, where there were no free seats and served by a very nice gentleman wearing a tracksuit and trainers. I can only deduce he was there helping out as the restaurant appeared to be so short staffed. So much indeed that a teenage girl who obviously worked there but was not working that day (again I deduced this from the outfit she was wearing) answered the phone and began to plead with a member of staff to come in as soon as he could. I know this was the nature of the conversation because it took place less than 6 inched away from us on a cordless phone.20 minutes later we managed to stop a member of staff and ask when we would be likely to be seated. We were then escorted straight to a table. Which had been clearly free. We ordered immediately and helped ourselves to our salad. 45 Minutes later we began to wonder where our main course was. I glanced up and counted 13 plates of food sitting on the kitchen pass waiting to be taken out. After I watched them sit there for a further 10 minutes I went to find a member of staff and told them we were leaving.A terrible experience.

My husband and myself was at the brasserie on Tuesday night for a excellent meal, my thanks to the chefs they do a excellent job every time in getting the food out in time in a small space of time. The girls on the floor are brilliant get a full restaurant out in time for the show! In addition, who can forget the young lad on the door with the red hair! Mad a hatter and always having a laugh with the customer and staff, always giving us a friendly welcome and keep check on us and everyone in the restaurant to see if everything is good, Not many restaurant have all three things to make a great night, Great Food, Great Staff & Great Prices

wow what a find we were told by friends that a new restaurant was open in whickham bank and we always like to try different place , but this place was something special the moment we walked through the door , we were greeted by waiter and was lead to our table and as we were seated ,the waiter explained that the food was great with wine because it was cooked in a healthy manner not so oily at the same time we were amazed by the decor in each room from banquet rooms for 8 /10 person to the intimate couple boudoir seating but hey we order some specialities a lamb rawlpindi and sag bhajee was excellent hey overall too much to talk about this is a fantastic place and great food

Superb dinner with Northumbrian flavoured dishes. Really enjoyed. They do whisky tastings and also offer Wylam Ales which was great, especially as we had visitors from the South. They were able to have a real taste of the North East !
