The napoli has changed ownership and although no severe changes they have started and for the better. food was great which is why i was there but there is a larger selection of drinks new chef is starting to make his mark and felt good sitting at the bar for a drink after as the tatty sofas have gone and bar stool and tables are a breath of fresh air. good luck the family will be back.

Jamdani – GatesheadHaving left trying to find somewhere to eat until 7.30pm on a Saturday night, we eventually hit lucky with the Brasserie at The Sage. Upon arrival we were a little alarmed to be dining completely alone, as this place only really gets busy before shows at the Sage. The atmosphere was therefore a little on the quiet side but the food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for our waiter. If you don't mind the empty church-like ambience and a slightly limited menu then this is a great place to eat.

Monsun Indian Restaurant – GatesheadReal old fashioned Italian restaurant with an old fella on the accordion on at night time. Food always good with an extensive menu and an open kitchen so you can see the chefs prepare the food. They do a 3 course menu for £7.95 (even on a Saturday night) which is outstanding value. I recommend the chicken Madagascar in a very peppery cream sauceŠyum?umŠgo for the Coppa Denmark for pud with hot chocolate sauce. If you are after a good value traditional Italian then this is the one for you. Enjoy.
