Last night was our second visit , we love this restaurant first of all the waitress remembered us which was a lovely touch - Carolina , we went with her recommendation and it was fabulous - fillet of pork, & we started with the mussels. Food & standards of service are outstanding. Wine menu was excellent. Warm, great atmosphere, music just right, even toilet are lovely. We can't recommend this place enough it won't be long till we r back. Thank you to the team at Stock - perfect

Returned to Stock for Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint, we were a party of 5 so had various dishes and they were all amazing ! The Sunday roast was fantastic, great portion sizes with ample veg and gravy. The deserts were amazing and beautifully presented. The restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere, service was first class and the set menu was great value for money. The decor and ambience is first class and I would highly recommend this great local restaurant.

A lovely Mothers Day lunch for five of us - inc two young grandchildren. The staff were welcoming and attentive and made the kids feel special yet relaxed. As with our previous visits, the food was excellent and presented well. Despite being very busy, we never felt rushed, which is a credit to the management. Thanks!

Had been for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago which was excellent, so had high expectations for Saturday night meal out with family. Can’t really fault the service and the kitchen’s willingness to accommodate a couple of small changes. However the food was really quite disappointing given the high end price of the menu. Fish pie was watery and bland and they forgot to put the prawns on top (they did realise and sent them out separately) , fillet steak was over done and the accompaniments pretty plain, chips weren’t quite cooked through etc. Maybe they were just having a bad night, but unfortunately I’d be inclined to go somewhere cheaper and will probably get better.

We ate here on a Friday evening. The food was fantastic and so beautifully presented. The restaurant has such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. A great evening!

Fantastic evening at stock. We were a table of 6 with everyone having different food options, some of which we asked to alter, the kitchen was happy to deliver which sometimes being to other establishments they wouldn't. The young lady serving us was incredibly helpful and made our visit even better! (Think her name was Emily! Apologies if incorrect)

I had been looking forward to visiting stock after a lot of hype about the place. It did not disappoint!! Great food, great service and wonderfully decorated. Brilliant addition to the high street!

We had a girls night here last night and the food was amazing. The interior is stunning and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommend steak tartare and lobster! Wine list was perfect as well. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I really wanted to like this restaurant as it is right on our doorstep and different to the current offering in the area. Unfortunately I found the service poor, and the menu is extremely overpriced. Some of the prices are similar to Michelin starred restaurants and the food pales in comparison. My meal was inedible.

First visit this week for a birthday meal. New Spring menu was really interesting and a good wine list to go with it. Pork tenderloin and cod were both excellent. Was a bit quiet on a Thursday night but the food and service were spot-on. Not the cheapest place to eat on Gosforth High Street but definitely worth it!

Lovely restaurant, nice service but unfortunately we both found the food bland. I presumed roasted beetroot would come warm but it was cold straight from the fridge, hubby had muscles in chilli sauce which he said was more like tomato sauce. I had fish pie but sauce was bland and mash wasn’t great plus hubby didn’t think much of his goan curry. Would I go back? Probably not but I have heard of others that have enjoyed Stock so perhaps we just picked the wrong food.

What a great place, menu was varied but small enough to show that each dish had been thought about. the staff were spot on even thought they were two down that night. The food was fantastic and the Goan curry was a highlight.

Visited Stock for Sunday dinner and it was fantastic! The food was incredible, and very well presented. Had the 2 courses for £24 which is great value for money. The rack of lamb was beautiful, and great portion sizes for the accompanying sides. Lovely atmosphere and the service was brilliant and recommended wonderful desserts. Will definitely be back - highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible food! The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the booths are very comfy. Staff are very attentive, and ensure you’re having a great time. The chocolate cake for dessert was heavenly! This place is exactly what Gosforth high street needed!

A most enjoyable experience - good food, friendly and efficient service, pleasant ambience. A welcome addition to our nearby High Street.

Having dined here in the second week of opening, I was reluctant to return, half the menu was missing and the guy stood at the pass seemed to be more interested with his phone than what was happening around him. I was told to give it another go by friends, so pleased that I did! The menu has been slightly altered but everything was available. I had a surf n turf to start and the lobster to follow, one of the best meals I've had in years! My partner went straight to the best cooked steak, plenty of proper chips and a delicious peppercorn sauce. What a transformation!! Clearly a new and very much improved kitchen team, great atmosphere from there, was like being at a movie sitting so close. The waiting team are impeccable and know their stuff. Cannot recommend highly enough!
