Lovely night out, food excellent although our mains of pasta and lambs shoulder could have done with some greens. Service needs polishing but friendly and welcoming.

Evening meal with friends on a Saturday night. Very good food. Unusual starter which was delicious and plentiful. Guinness & Stilton pate. Main course was also good. Service was friendly and prompt but laid back when it came to asking us to pay. Nice atmosphere and very cosy. Great addition to restaurant options in the area. Thank you.

So glad to see this lovely village inn being opened for food and drinks! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food. The fish pie was well provisioned with all sorts of fish., not spurious items hidden in a welter of white sauce with a hint of cheese. So it was delicious. The chicken and tarragon pie was also a triumph and filling. Beers, ciders and drinks all there! Emphasis on local craft suppliers was apparent too, great! Final words, very good overall experience, good value and yes will certainly frequent!

Decided to visit because of our love of the Fork and Chicken. Not disappointed. Nice friendly atmosphere and very welcoming. Varied and interesting food choices. Meals all excellent and clearly freshly prepared. Delicious puddings as well. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

Fantastic food and cosy authentic atmosphere! Delicious food and really accommodating for Gluten Free options too. The chef came out to check everything was okay at the end and the service was excellent.

Food was great as always and good value. Really appreciated Hugh accommodating some dietary requirements. Love the idea of a pop up and glad not to have lost Hugh and his cooking from the Hay area.

Relaxed, warm atmosphere. Fabulous food and excellent service. What more could you want? Would recommend highly and we will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed the food. Porchetta was tender and flavoursome and the Manchego cheesecake was delicious.

We had a fantastic afternoon at the causeway celebrating my mums 70th birthday. All the staff were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. All my family commented on what a lovely venue it was and how good the food and staff were. Thank you very much for making my mums special day even better.

We loved our meal yesterday - everything was superb and delicious. I especially liked how you are invited up the carvery hence not joining a big line. We will definitely be back. The staff were great and always available. Top class!

Went for dinner to celebrate husbands birthday and retirement. Lovely warm inviting atmosphere, nice background music Food was fabulous and the service was exceptional, felt totally spoilt and we will definitely return Highly recommend, small menu but all courses very tasty and prices were average
