Under new management, food excellent, freshly cooked and a good price. Unfortunately no one else in so didn't feel very welcoming, give it a go.

Returned again for dinner on Friday 8th Still great food had the pork shank not had that before, my goodness what a portion. Really good. returned on Sunday lunch time only for a snack and a pint. Home cooked ham not many places these days do this but great thick slices. Chef does well we will return.

Perfection is possible! Visited last Saturday evening and it was just lovely. The food was delicious, the ambience fantastic and the decor - I want to copy for home! The food melts in your mouth, the waitresses were there when you needed them and not when you didn't! We went on a Saturday , £29.95 for three courses - worth the money. They have a special on Sunday lunch as well which looks extremely good value. I imagine you would have to book well in advance for that though. Well worth a trip - you won't be disappointed.

DONT BOTHER GOING !!! Food Uncooked - To the Point of Raw. Staff Extreamly Rude and Aggresive when making a valid complaint. Wont be eating here again and will make sure that everyone we know doesnt either ! Will be reporting to Trading Standards.

We were regular visitors to this establishment until a few months ago. The early diner menu has always been good value for money & the quality & presentation of food pretty good. The staff have a thing or two to learn about customer service & despite visiting on a weekly basis, we never received a friendly greeting giving any indication that we were regular clients. That wouldn't put us off though. So why have we stopped going ? Basically, the attitude of the owner/manager. We believe in giving credit where it's due & good food & service equates to a decent tip at the end of the meal. Equally, if the food/service isn't up to scratch, the tip would be calculated accordingly. On a last visit, which wasn't up to the usual standards, a tip of around 10% was accepted by the manager with a rude comment along the lines of "is that it". I'm afraid "that is it" as far as we're concerned. At least until the pub changes hands !

I would love to recommend the Yellow Broom. I was looking forward to enjoying their culinary delights. Having booked in advance for a special birthday dinner imagine my suprise to find the restaurant closed. What a pity that even though they requested our phone number they did not have the courtesy to advise us. Obviously they don't bother opening their restaurant if there aren't sufficient bookings to make it profitable. So be warned

Superb meal at the Yellow Broom on Saturday night. The steak (and my partners lamb) was cooked to perfection! Staff were very attentive, extremely polite and professional. Have never had a bad meal here. It will always be my favourite. Would recommend it to anyone.

I have had many evening meals here and now a lunch. Food was hot and a very fair portion. The service has been always with a smile. Also the local ale has been excellent. I highly recommend this establishment.

Lovely pub at the heart of Holmes Chapel, easily the best in the village. Fantastic staff - really friendly and helpful. Food good and reasonably priced. Just been redecorated.

This is a very nice pub/restaurant that caters for all, with lovely views of the countryside. We were so impressed with the cleanliness. The staff were so friendly and hospitable, and so were the regulars. The food is excellent and all homemade. We fully recommend the Red Lion Inn, Goostrey.

Sunday Lunch at the Yellow Broom is a luxurious foodie way to spend a Sunday afternoon. You need to book but timing is very flexible starting at noon and bookings up to 3 p.m. are accepted! The 3 course menu is £15.95 plus extra for coffee and petit fours. An excellent wine list which can be pricey but easy to find a good wine at around £20 a bottle. Menu is predominately modern english. There is always fish on the menu and a vegetarian choice. There is a charming bar area where you sit and make your menu choice before moving into the dining room which has been recently extended by a lovely conservatory. You can return to the bar area for coffee after your meal. Well behaved children with good table manners are welcomed but it is predominately an adult environment. This is a place we never tire of and are never disappointed on regular visits.
