The Flintlock Inn – HonitonWe had lunch here on a beautiful sunny day in February, with views from the dining room across the grounds and beyond, watching the horses frolicking. The food was stunning, pickled Red Mullet, Guinea Fowl with truffled sauce and puddings that were a step too far. Luckily we could retire to the lounge for a rest before setting off. Truly a unique hotel and restaurant where you can forget about your daily grind and relax with the help of the brilliant staff. I read that they are up for a Michelin Star this year and the food more than proved that for us.
The Pig at Combe House – HonitonWe enjoyed a superb meal on new year's eve with live music and a wonderful atmosphere. The pub was packed and the owners meryl and paulo were wonderful hosts. 10 of us enjoyed a fabulous evening and we have booked for next year. A truly great experience!!!
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonWe have eaten at the Flintlock Inn on three occasions whilst on our way back from Plymouth. Excellent all round except for one small detail........the music. If you are not a Carpenters fan, then continuous Karen can be too much!
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonWe plan our trips from London down to the West Country to coincide with the Flintlock Inn's opening times! It's only seconds off the A303, excellent and friendly service and the most superb, fresh food. Very good value too considering the quantity and quality of the food. They have two chefs dedicated to making puddings alone. You're in for a treat.
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonTaking a short break at a local B&B, we thought that we would try the local pub - boy are we glad that we did. We had an excellent home cooked meal, the pub was very busy but it was well worth the wait. This was on a Sunday night, and as we were staying for one more day we made a note of what was on offer for the next evening from a varied menu. Only problem was, the Flintlock is closed on Mondays, never mind - we now have an excuse to return later in the year to sample another of the tasty dishes on offer.
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonMy wife had a very nice evening here last year, great atmosphere on a Wednesday, very busy, great food - couldn? fault it
Honiton Wine Bar – HonitonWe only go out to eat at the Flintlock. We have tried other local restaurants but this place is the best. One gets a warm welcome, all home cooked food is of a very high standard and reasonably priced. It is popular so book well in advance in order not to be disappointed.
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonFantastic! The food was delightful, their friendly staff made our stay such a wonderful time. The surroundings are just unbelievable.
Lakeview Manor – HonitonI was really impressed by the location and the food! Good value for money!
The Pig at Combe House – HonitonThe best around by far, great fish. Our most recent visit was preceded by a circular walk starting at the pub followed by a great lunch. Not to be missed
