Very heartfelt greeting when we arrived, didn’t feel rushed all evening, and was truly amazing to see a chef work the kitchen with such what seemed like ease. The food is beautifully prepared portioned and tasted like we were stealing it. On our top ten list and will come back thank you

Anniversary date - lovely food, lovely atmosphere. Special occasion restaurant, expensive, but worth it!

Beautifully presented and delicious food, the combinations work really well together and leave you wanting more. The atmosphere/decor is very minimal at you can feel at times either very squashed in, or a feeling of emptiness. However, that wouldn't stop us coming back. It's priced at a level we could only afford for a special treat, but look forward to coming back when we can.

Absolutely amazing food, not just stunning to look at but delicious too. We had the 3 course early bird and it was exceptional good value. We loved watching the food being prepared and seeing the care and attention given to each and every dish. All I can say is every plate is a work of art and Dean and Danny are true masters of their craft. It’s hard to say what was my favourite dish of the evening as everything was so good, but if I had to choose, I would pick the dropped ice cream cone. It was beautifully presented and looked too beautiful to eat. I also had a taste of my partners sticky toffee pudding and that was so good too. Just make sure you leave room for a dessert! Will we be back? We most certainly will.

Third visit to Brontae's and the food was exceptional as always. Mark, Dale and the team are very welcoming and there service is excellent. Will be back soon

We visited last Thursday for my wife's birthday with a couple of friends and had one of the best meals out for many many years. They serve very high quality, tasty and imaginative food at very sensible prices. Fixed price menu especially good value but we were easily tempted off it on the main menu and were not disappointed!!

First time at Brontaès this evening and won’t be our last. All the staff were very friendly from the moment we entered. The tables all had a view of the kitchen, which was very nice to see the chefs at work creating the dishes. The atmosphere was calming and relaxing, with a fabulous choice in music (or I thought so anyway). We were already happy we had made a good decision coming for tea, but then the food arrived and it was on another level. Not only did it look pretty, it tasted amazing from the first to the last mouthful. Didn’t get to sample the puddings as we were too full, so next time we will definitely try and save some room, as they looked amazing! If your looking for amazing tasting food, with a relaxed atmosphere you know where to go!

A fantastic evening, a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive but not overly so, offering recommendations when asked. The food was delicious and it was so good been able to watch the chefs and even chat to them. We enjoyed every mouthful.

My wife and I enjoyed a very good meal recently. The food was very good and enjoyable. The service was excellent.

Had high expectations which I didn't think would be met. However the food was amazing. My starter of pickled trout was sensational. Our mains were also very good and well presented . The care into the little flavours was great. Wine was good, liked the fact it was a limited choice. I'm no restauranter so it's my humble opinion but i think the decor needs a change. After speaking to the maitrede I understand their thinking , but just feel like a bit of greenery or art might work. With the food on offer this place is golden , and I think a few tweaks would really make this place the number one place to go.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Brontaes, I had the lamb croquettes which were divine and much larger than I expected followed by the fillet of beef, the potato was sublime and all beautifully seasoned followed by the chocolate cherry love pudding! The service was good and I enjoyed watching the chefs prepare the dishes. The menu was reasonably priced for the quality, definitely recommend. An opportunity for up selling…we had a bottle of white wine, had I been asked if I’d like a glass or bottle of red wine with my beef I would have said yes. Just a suggestion ❤️

Visited Brontaes twice now and I haven't been disappointed. Fabulous food, Super service and real value for money. The quality and presentation of the food is excellent and I feel really lucky to have a restaurant of this standard on my doorstep!

My wife and I visited here Friday night for a celebration. We have been looking forward to the night for ages and we weren't disappointed. Our initial impression of the restaurant was it was quite clinical and minimal. The food was exquisite however. For starters we had pig cheeks and the bacon and both were out of this world. For the main we had steak and duck and again, both were amazing. For dessert we both had the chocolate cheesecake. The cheesecake itself was amazing, the sauce wasnt so much but could just be personal taste. Little touches for us could make this restaurant a further cut above the rest, like cloth serviettes, improving the decor and spacing the tables out abit more, but we came for the food and it didnt disappoint. The food was just the best. Thank you Dale

All I can see is BRILLIANT! the staff and the food was absolutely outstanding. The food’s presentation & attention to details was amazing. Highly recommend.

Second visit for us last night, arrived a little early as instructed to find the door locked so not a good start. My husbands starter was a little strange with a fish cake in a liquid that tasted like ice cream, then we both had the lamb rump, the rump was a disappointment, mine was slightly undercooked and had a vein of fat/sinew running through it so I was limited as to what I wanted to eat, my husbands was a little more cooked and ok, the accompaniments were lovely but I wouldn’t pay £30 for my dish again as the lamb was too disappointing. I had the carrot cake sweet which was delicious but overall we won’t be going back as it’s a bit big a trek for us to not enjoy the food
