Did eat here and found the place disappointing. The service was very amateur and the menu was very basic. I would have thought a hotel restaurant like this would have at least been a bit more fine dining than the expensive cafe it was.

Had lunch at Sandbar. Friendly service and extremely pleasant Thai style chicken with a good salad. Very reasonably priced and a welcoming atmosphere. Only problem I could see was when a family came in to eat they were told they only allow children on the two tables in the window and in no other part! Despite the good food that rules me (and the family) out as potential regulars.

I loved my evening here. I have been many times and the food is always amazing, along with excellent service and a lovely atmosphere. Everything you need for an enjoyable meal. It is definitely worth trying, you wont be disappointed.

Went to the new look Woodside on Saturday night and WOW! what a difference... Gone is the pool table and in has come elegance and chic. The bar now looks swish and modern, no more optics which makes a big difference. The comfy sofas are just that...and you feel excited about drinking and dining once more. The outside area has had a rethink too along with swish new sign and trees lit with lights as you enter. his is no longer branded as a pub, its now a restaurant with a bar...and on entering you see why... its new decor compliments the amazing new carvery and menu...The carvery was my choice and for £7.50 was a good choice. The two young lads on the carvery were very polite and helpful, and you didn't get too much... just enough to fill my belly. There was a great choice of veg, and three types of potato as well as stuffing balls and Yorkshire puddings, as made by the head chef, Gary Lawson who holds his team of young chefs together very well to produce an amazing menu which includes liver and bacon, swordfish which may to some seem a tad adventurous for Horsforth but I couldn't fault my meal.I am going again for sure with my family for Sunday Lunch. The young staff are all polite and the waiting staff looked very professional in their long white aprons ... ALL the staff should give themselves a big pat on the bask after Saturday night cos It was a great success. All in all it was a whole new eating experience and one which I shall return too. It rings true I guess that if you go down to The Woodside today ...Your sure of a big, and very pleasant surprise.

We went on Saturday night at 8pm and were surprised to see loads of kids, some running around screaming. Once seated we had to request someone come and clean the floor around our table as there were 2 slices of pizza there. 20 minutes later this was cleaned away (sort of). Starter was ok. Main course spaghetti looked and tasted like it had come out of a tin. Once bill came we were rushed to pay and leave, as the table was needed for other people. Would not go again and would not recommend.

A little gem of a place. As good as I've tasted anywhere and excellent value for money. It doesn't serve alcohol although you are free to bring your own. The Town Street Tavern a minute away does cartons of beer you can takeaway and enjoy at the Moghul.

We eat regularly at this restaurant and feel it is by far the best curry house in Leeds. The service is always polite and professional and the food is always divine. :-)

The food was excellent but there was room for improvement in other areas. The ambience was weakened by the presence of a huge TV screen - more appropriate to a pub than a restaurant. The service didn't impress; we (two women) were ignored for a good five minutes on arrival until a couple (man and woman) came in and a waiter went straight to them, still ignoring us. Our mains arrived within seconds of our finishing our starters then, when we asked for a pause before considering dessert, we were presented with the bill. I'd give it another try because of the quality of the food but, all things considered, this is looking like a restaurant that just doesn't welcome unaccompanied women. Pity, because it could be so very good.

Found the atmosphere great and meal inexpensive, however this is one of the occasions where you get what you pay for!

the fish dish was the best. All the food was excellent and there were no complaints whatsoever. Service was extremely good. Food arrived on time at just the right temperature. For two of us the bill came to around 18 pounds. I even gave them a tip,

This restaurant seems to get very busy on weekends, although me and my boyfriend went at 6.00 pm on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy, more of a relaxed atmosphere which is what we preferred. The food was great, the staff were attentive without being too intrusive and the decor was very stylish and modern.

nothing but good things to say about this little gem hidden in Horseforth, located at the top of horsefoth's town street it has taken over the once very popular stuarts winebar, a risky decsion as it has completly changed and it works well. It has a bar that seems very popular` with drinkers of all ages, where you can comfortably sit at the marble covered bar or on one of the many leather sofas. drinks are reasonably priced with a cocktail and shooter menu available. Tapas is well priced and the bar menu runs untill 5pm serving paninis and a fantastic chicken tandoori salad which was served in a popadom basket. The bistro has a vibrant atmosphere and was well staffed by eager waiting staff, what most impressed me about this place though was the menu and the price. it is well balanced with something for everyone even numerous vegetarian options that seem to of had a little thought put into them. with the prices at five pounds for a starter and ten for a main course and four for a dessert its fantastic value, the wine list has been carefully chosen to offer good quality wines at a very good price. for a starter, i had the sauteed king prawns with garlic chilli and lime butter, five enourmous prawns came out drizzled with a fantastic fragrant butter, i followed this with the salmon fillet, crushed potatoes and saffron mussel sauce. this was awesome, the fillet was huge! the potatoes were so tasty i asked for more which arrived quickly, the mussels in the very yellow and deep tasting sauce were huge and juicy, unfortunatly we couldn't fit a dessert in even after much persuasion by the staff but a fresh ground coffee was too god an offer to refuse, when the bill was asked for it arrived quickly and to my suprise it had only come to a total of £ 62, an amazing price for a very well cooked meal. i will definetly be coming here again and bringing my friends to my new found eating heaven.

In a party of 24 we had a fabulous evening. The food was excellent with a very good choice of speciality fish dishes and inexpensive wines. Would recommend to any one wanting traditional Italian fare at very good value for money!!

Went here on Sunday for carvery with family, was very good value for money, and the waitress we had was very nice, the beef was slightly tough and the bigger roast potatoes were slightly undercooked along with carrots, didn't try any other veg as not a big lover. the other meats were lovely which were the turkey and the lamb, not over impressed on the seating it looked like a church hall!

We have been going to this restaurant since it was La Copella and have always loved the food. Since refurbishment the food is as good, but it tends to get very busy and sometimes you have quite a wait to get seated (even if you have booked).
