Great food, rather over-attentive service (waiters hovering constantly ready to whip your plate away!) but one of our favourite Indians. Food is always lovely. A bit pricier than some, but reflected in the food quality. You can take your own drinks too, which keeps the cost low.
Indira Tandoori Restaurant – HoylakeOur favourite restaurant since we used to live just around the corner, sadly we have now moved to London and will only be able to return occasionally, but we will return on visits home as the food is always exceptional. The food here is better than at Tony's (if anyone remembers that great place, now sadly closed down). Mostly older people in Julian's, but we are only in our 20's and we love it.

The food and service is outstanding. you are warmly greeted on your arrival and look after with the highest of quality throughout your meal. I feel the price of the meal is very reasonable for what you get. I have paid a lot more in other restaurants and been very disappointed. I would recommend Julian's to anyone who wants good quality food & service for the right price.

The crispy chilli beef is outstanding, the chicken and cashewnuts is - ooh, I'm drooling just thinking about it. They could do with turning the heating up a notch - it's always a bit chilly - but that aside, a smashing place.
Jade Garden – HoylakeMy guests and I were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. All three courses of our meal were beautifully presented and were served by cheerful courteous staff. The delicious meal, excellent wine and lovely ambience ensured that a very enjoyable evening was had by all. See you again soon....
Julian’s Restaurant – HoylakeGuaranteed excellent food and superb service - i have never been disappointed, or even less than very happy with a meal at Linos. The guys know how to run a restaurant, and they run it so so well. If you get a change their lunchtime menus are really well priced, and considering the quality, criminal to miss out on. Evening menu is compelling and the range of desserts and specials offered (from memory by Nigel and Ian) is disarming. As other reviews have said, it's rather easy to eat more than you should. Wine selection is excellent, with even the odd non-Italian wine sneaking in for an appearance. Can't recommend enough - but please don't book when i want to go! It's not huge... it is special. Dress up!

The food is still very good, but the extension has spoiled the intimate atmosphere it used to have. Service is always good, cost wise it's fairly good value. Compared with some of its Liverpool cousins, I think it could improve a bit.

Other restaurants should send their staff to watch Nigel and Ian in action as the service is the best I have experienced! We have been to trendy city centre restaurants that arn't a patch on Linos. Service and food combined with a friendly atmosphere and MANY regulars that Nigel and Ian know by name make a meal at Linos a perfect night out. Thoroughly recommended.

Menu original with a frequently changing and seasonal set of options. Given enough notice they will prepare anything within reason. Prices remarkably inexpensive given the quality and service.
