This pub is a very comfortable pub which sells great food and even better ale.Its seems to be the place to go to if you happen to be huddersfield area. The menu consists of home cooked food served to you will the warm faces of the new landlord Peter Murphy or as he would put it his righhand man Ashley Coley.

The food is mouthwatering - it is my favourite restaurant by far!! The staff are all so friendly, the service is at a good speed - you're not waiting ages for your food but courses are not brought out 1 after another either!! Definitely recommend this restaurant - I have been at least 10 times and have never had a bad dish or service!!

What a great eating experience. I loved it. Fresh food cooked right in front of you so you know that each dish you have chosen is fresh fresh. Fantastic for my kids and I have signed up for their free Club Temujin which made my meal even better value. The desserts were to die for. A fantastic, entertaining night. We will be going back and a brilliant alternative to that curry as it is also very healthy.

First class presentation. Monday lunch-time but still plenty of trouble and effort taken to ensure an enjoyable meal. Lots of interesting variety on the menu. Well Worth missing a train for.

We make a habit of checking new restaurants in the Huddersfield and Sheffield areas, and frequently find average eateries that are exceptionally pricey for their standard. This was not one of them however, and we were relatively impressed. I was told by the restaurant manager the menu changes once every 8 weeks or around that, therefore what I think was a relatively safe, but classy, verging on creative menu has the potential to develop into an exciting, inventiveness full of choice. Well worth trying!!!! P.S. If attending soon go for the Spring Roll for starters....

Booked for our wedding anniversary having not ate there for 4 years, on the whole disappointed to say the least with my meal although my wifes was acceptable. As a main course I ordered the Rib Eye which was returned without compliment, should not have served it ! Staff seemed to have gone down hill and a mate of mine has described the cost as highway robbery which I would find an acceptable comment. Come on you can do better than that !!!!!

A very nice restaurant that was passed on to me by word of mouth. The couple that have it now have taken a lot of care with their interior and with the food. The restaurant is cosy, if you are dining for two, and child friendly if you are taking children. There is a relaxed ambiance about the place but at the same time they are efficient.

An excellent little restaurant in the heart of Marsden. Extremely friendly staff made us feel very relaxed. The food was top notch and generous portions. We dined there on a weekend and it was really busy so would recommend booking in advance so you can get the time you want. Will definitely be going back on numerous occasions. Also great homemade sweets. All in all AAA+++

The food was quite good at Saim's but quite pricey for what it was.Nice decor inside very modern, service was good however we were the only party in on a friday night which shows something. Better curry to be had at other places in Huddersfield/ surrounding area for a cheaper price and better atmosphere. No Parking

Excellent night for anyone passing through, and they have now opened a camp site for tired Pennine Way walkers. Much impressed by the standard and the plans they have to develop for the future. Good location, good friendly people and a good crowd as friendly to each other as to strangers.

Lovely upstairs restaurant, prices around £6 for starter, £12 for main course. Food delicious - lovely menu, not too pretentious, everything very tasty. Have made several return trips!

Always a good meal here, and great choice for vegetarians. The meals aren't as traditional as you would get at many Indian restaurants, and I would say they are on the mild side. A great place to take a mate who isn't a curry fan... this will win them over!

Laxmi Restaurant – Huddersfield

Great experience! You choose your ingredients (lots of fresh veggies, tofu, chicken, beef, crocodile, ostrich etc. etc.!) and then take it to the chefs who stir fry it in your choice of oil, sauce & garnish. Endless combinations and so fresh! Meanwhile fresh fluffy rice is put on the table to accompany your stir fry. Set price for as many visits to the chefs as you like... I think it's about £15 if I remember rightly, but it is cheaper off peak times. Great for kids as they can get involved in choosing their food!

Cheerful, friendly place, I like the booths to sit in, nice and private. Food good, not stunning, but certainly tasty. Friendly staff make you feel very welcome.
