"best Indian restaurant in Huddersfield"? I would say average at best with over-exuberance in the use off food colouring and cheap reformed poultry. It is a welcoming and busy place, but there is better in the area.

Great place for lunch, fab food and surroundings

Have had a few takeaways from Mumbai Spice and never been disappointed. They are very busy though, so call early for a delivery or you could have a long wait.

we went for our first meal to the beaumont arms today 5th october 2010 as the last time we went there was 1994. we found the portions to be more than average with a good choice of menu and at more than reasonable prices. we will certainly be giving our custom there again especially at Christmas as we can quite easily get to the pub without public transport.

Sunday 26th 2010, My wife, Me and my 4 year old son happened to be in Huddersfield on a Sunday afternoon at about 3:30pm, we were hungry. We were walking through town and stumbled upon the voda bar and grill. We have eaten out on a Sunday in many pubs, bars and restaurants but not one of them has ever come close to this. The staff were friendly and accommodating, they had no special menu for children but were happy to do a smaller portion of anything for our son. We opted for the special Sunday menu with starter and main, the traditional Sunday Lunch. Lets get on to the food, it was absolutely brilliant. The Chicken portion was sizeable and cooked perfectly, not dry like every other restaurant I have eaten at, the selection of vegetables had been carefully prepared and perfectly cooked. The potatoes, mash, roasted and new potatoes were equally cooked with care and obviously by a professional chef. The gravy was also delicious. Now for me this is the benchmark, others will seriously have to raise their game to compete with this. I never write reviews, but I was so impressed by this that I felt compelled to. The only surprise was that there weren't queues outside the door. I am dying to sample some of the other meals on this menu next time we are in Huddersfield. I have no hesitation in giving this place 10/10. Brilliant!!!!

if you want English cuisine, forget it unless you like chicken nuggets or salad, i phoned to ask if they did steak, not on the menu? partner wont eat spicy

Been going here over 15yrs great family run restaurant can remember when it was just very tiny with only about eight tables. Best place to eat in the whole wide world.

Excellent restaurant, never fails to impress me, the restaurant always has a great atmosphere, the service is great and the food is cheap. I have to say it has the best red onions and mint sauce i have ever had! A++

I ate there yesterday 22/08/2010 with my family for my birthday... The meal was excellent, great menu control and the children ate well which is unusual. The service was great and the owner was nice and friendly. We are so impressed we are going to look into having our Christmas meal there. Highly recommended. Zoe, Halifax

Excellent, a large party of us went yesterday 11th August 2010, and the food and service were perfect, the food was all home made and not out of the freezer, which makes a refreshing change.

Well folks what can I say about the new inn in Marsden. I booked a "midweek relaxer" at £75 this included room, bed and breakfast and 3 course dinner. Not bad value you might think. It was the most boring place I have ever been to in my life! The food was average- very average! We didn't have a dessert and opted for a coffee (which we were charged for) instead. Decided to leave the place to walk off the weight of the rag pudding and asked staff what time their last orders were. Advertised last orders 11pm but informed if nobody in bar would shut early! Given a code to get back into building which we tried at 10.30 only to find some dozy member of staff had locked from the inside. Luckily member of staff just pulling away off carpark and managed to get her help to let us back in. We were then left in the building the whole night on our own! Breakfast had been pre arranged for 9am and of course came down at 8.50 just as a member of staff was arriving. If we had come down for breakfast 30 seconds earlier the alarm would have set off. We sat and waited while staff arrived at 9 to make breakfast to only overhear "Are they down yet?" Hardly professional to put it mildly. As we left I mentioned my concerns at 1) of being locked out and 2) of being left in building overnight totally alone but it simply fell on deaf ears. Not very relaxing after all and definitely overpriced. I wonder if this complaint will be shown on line!

Excellent atmosphere, good vibe, fun music and food to make your toes curl!
