I love Brooks, it is my favourite Ilkley restaurant! The staff and food are exceptional and I especially love their hake dishes, tempora veg plus their amazing rhubarb and custard cocktail. Looking forward to their move to bigger premises and hope they still manage to recreate its current charm

Brooks is a great addition to the area bringing Shi Lanken food to delight our tongues. With attentive service, a pleasant atmosphere and well priced food, you can go there for a taster tapas or a go for a full tapas as there's plenty to choose from.

The food, atmosphere, service, and value for money were all very good. We'll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Brooks after a long absence and were delighted to find that standards have been maintained. Four of us shared two sharing platters then a range of dishes, and were impressed by the flavours and freshness of all. The Sri Lankan menu offers a refreshing change from the norm.

An excellent meal. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. The menu choice and variety is excellent and so varied. We had meat, fish and vegetable dishes, and all very very good and delicious. Will definitely be back.

Amazing in every way

Absolutely delicious food, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Not having eaten Sri Lankan food before, we were delighted to be able to order a number of small dishes to share and explore different flavours.

Only recently discovered this restaurant and have been back twice since in the space of two weeks. That speaks for itself! Have already booked to go again in two weeks time.

I love Brooks!! The food is out of this world. The flavours and presentation cannot be improved upon. “Ooh you have to try this” is always said when I’m dining there. There’s always a friendly welcome and you’re made to feel like a VIP. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Our first visit and I’ve been thinking about how good the food was ever since. The sharing platter was a delicious selection of different dishes, the tempura prawns and fish being the highlight for me as they were so well cooked. We had a selection of dishes to share including the devilled beef which was outstanding. The desserts were great, I had the cake which was the perfect way to end the most enjoyable meal I’ve had in a long time. The owners are so welcoming and helped guide us through the menu, they were a pleasure to talk to. I cannot sing this place’s praises enough!

Visiting Ilkley, we were recommended to eat at Brooks, a family run restaurant. We were not disappointed. We booked online, it was easy to do. The service was top notch, food choices were fabulous, there was 5 of us so we ordered 2 dishes each, as the portions are similar to tapas. All the dishes were amazing. When we are in the area again we will definitely dine here again.

Helpful staff who rearranged seating due to mobility issues. Good choice of menu, shared a platter and had to bring some home. Many thanks.

Absolutely delicious! Had our first (and certainly won't be our last) meal at Brooks earlier this week and it was divine. Lovely owner, great personal touches in the menu, super service and the space is a pleasure to be in. Brilliant cocktails too! Dog friendly and provided our dog with a water bowl.
