We came to Ilkley for the weekend to watch a rugby match. We went up on to Ilkley Moor (Baht 'at), watched the rugby and managed to get a table at Brooks. If you don't mention the rugby score we had a wonderful weekend, and Brooks on Saturday night was the crowning glory. A warm welcome on arrival, efficient and friendly service, a good selection of both food and drink on the Menu, and delicious food when it was served. It was fairly quiet when we arrived at 7:15 but jam packed when we left, and I'm not surprised! I'm always dubious about writing good reviews because it reduces the chances of getting in next time we want to! However, we do live 70 miles away so we need to plan well in advance anyway. Here's to the next time!

We dined at Brooks yesterday evening for the first time, being fairly new to the area. It certainly won’t be our last as we had a fantastic meal. From start to finish the service was excellent, the staff were all very attentive and lovely and the food / drinks came out fairly quickly. The food was amazing, really tasty and cooked to perfection. Thank you Brooks for a great evening!

The first time we ate here (last year) we were blown away by the delicious food. We ate here again this week and were not disappointed the food was just amazing. Clearly freshly made, beautifully presented, different - in a very good way, and frankly just delicious. Add to that friendly attentive service , without being intrusive, and great surroundings it was another great night and we will be back!

Cracking restaurant. Food is great and the novel tapas approach to Sri Lankan food means you get to try loads of things. Will definitely come again

This was our first visit to Brooks and we enjoyed our evening- good range of tapas tempura vegetables and a couple of tasty chicken dishes being highlights, and only one or two misses (we didn’t like the pancakes). Friendly, helpful service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Delicious! We ordered 3 dishes each, to share, plus sides and polished off every plate. I can't remember the last time I've left my plate completely empty! The waiting staff recommended the sorbet for dessert and I was dubious about avocado sorbet but she was right, it was so nice and the perfect end to the meal.

Fantastic food and atmosphere as always. The prawns are divine ! Now our favourite place to eat in Ilkley!

The food is okay for a mid range offer. I think the devilled beef felt a bit home cooked than restaurant quality. Could do with bread etc being given up front and some thought about what side goes with what. We waited for rice for 5 mins after the curry was sourced for example. That's where the Tapas ide falls down these ideas need to stand up on their own but who eats a curry dish without bread or rice ummmm. V pleased with the atmosphere etc . So will be back.

We had a lovely meal at Brooks - we went early and it was cosy and quiet, but it filled up over the next hour and became lively and fun. The well-trained staff were cheerful and engaging, and the food was excellent - fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. The sort of evening that makes you want to book again straight away!

Friendly, unrushed service made our evening with friends really relaxing. This allowed us to really enjoy the stunning food. Always a pleasure to dine here.

This was our second visit to Brooks and it was just as good as the first! Excellent food and great service from lovely staff - an all round great experience which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
