Our second visit and instantly we were remembered from our first, the staff could not be more genuine and helpful. The owner is the most passionate and amazing woman who will tell you stories of her mother her inspirations and her dedication to this gastronomic feast. The food was even more amazing than I remembered the atmosphere most congenital. Food was cooked with memories of mothers own recipes and enthused with execution of quality and presentation. Succulent pork beef chicken and prawn dishes full of again and Sri Lankan delights. I was transported to the island full of flavour. Amazing food. If I was to make a recommendation it would be to be proud of the authenticity of the food and history and fill the restaurant with authentic sounds and music...transport me to the island of Sri Lanka and beyond.. the food is amazing and deserves the complete ambience it warrants. I will be back a thousand times.

As always, great service from well trained and friendly staff. They will not let you order too much food. Just love the comprehensive menu, full of flavour and very fresh. Sensibly priced all round abs a lovely atmosphere.

As always, we had a fantastic dining experience at Brooks. The food was fantastic, drinks great and we were pleased to discover that they are dog friendly too! It wasn’t our first time eating here and certainly won’t be our last. If you’re looking for good food, wine and cocktails, brooks has it all.

Visited Brooks for the first time on Friday evening, we weren't disappointed!From the moment we stepped in the door and were wowed by the interior we were welcomed and shown to our table on the first floor. Our waitress was very attentive and brought our drinks within minutes of us arriving. She was also very informative about the menu and her recommendation of the Devilled Beef was definitely a good one! The suggestion of 2-3 dishes and a side we found more than adequate, every single dish was delicious. Would highly recommend Brooks, we will definitely be visiting again to try more dishes from the menu! Slightly pricey but the whole experience was well worth it!

Never had a bad meal at Brooks. Brought two more new friends with us on Friday evening. Tried a few new dishes that we haven’t had before and some firm favourites. They were all delicious and not a single morsel was left. The owners and staff were attentive and friendly but never rushed us. The atmosphere was just right for a ten year reunion - we spent the evening laughing, catching up and celebrating with bubbles. We’ll definitely be back - again!

We had a delicious meal at Brooks last night. We were greeted with a very warm welcome. The food was delicious, the staff were great. My only complaint was the heat inside the restaurant. We were on top floor and the temperature was so high it was uncomfortable. We were all sweating so much we couldn't wait to get out of there!! There was an attempt to cool it down with fans but they were not powerful enough. It was a shame because the rest of the experience was good. We probably would have had a desert and another drink but we could not cope with the heat any longer.

Easy to see why this is so popular. Great welcome and friendly service. Warm attractive room. Innovative menu with unusual Sri Lancan dishes. With a tapas style selection some are bound to be more to your taste than others but overall, no complaints and will return. Recommend Vegetable Rice, Courgette Lollipops, Beef Carpaccio, Raspberry Slice with superb Gin and Elderflower Sorbet. Good choice of wines at reasonable prices.

We had a great time at brooks for a late lunch. It was a cosy warm atmosphere we were seated on the 2nd floor. The staff were polite, cheery and attentive and we felt very welcomed. The food was very tasty and we ordered 3 plates each of the tapas to try which were delicious. There was a little wait for the food to come however this could be rectified if we had ordered starters for example which we did not. The bill was a tad pricey because of the additional service charge however it was expected as we ensured we enjoyed ourselves with the food and wine. Definitely will return to try more of the menu.

Distinctively average!! We were seated by the door, so we were greeted by a freezing breeze every few minutes as people left/arrived. The food took ages to arrive and when it did, rather than being delivered as it was cooked, it was all brought together. Meaning that by the time we worked our way through our selection, it was cold. The time from starters at mains was really long too. They ran out of our wine selection and also didnt inform us of dishes they had run out of until we went to order them (for mains and desserts) We felt very much ignored by the staff throughout our visit, sadly we wont be returning. There are much more attentive places in Ilkley to visit

6 of us had a meal here on a Wednesday evening. The welcome was very warm, servers attentive and very pleasant. The food was gorgeous. The tapas are about the size of a decent starter so 2 with a side are a decent amount. We mostly had 3 tapas and it was plenty. The atmosphere was lovely, all twinkly fairy lights, quite sophisticated. A few of us had a glass of house wine, which was great quality. It would be easy to spend a lot of money as everything sounds really tasty. We are definitely going back.

Just go!! If you want delightful food, beautifully cooked then this is the place for you. Fresh food, balanced spices and great value. What more could you need?
