The Restaurant was beautifully finished and the host was great , the food was Excellent we had 6 of the meat tapas with coconut rice and chili potatoes we will certainly be back

Outstanding friendly and helpful service, delicious dishes and a perfect change from traditional holiday fare. A gem of a restaurant which has encouraged me to learn how to make kimchi! Portions are generous in most cases and three dishes per person more than enough. A lovely heartfelt story about how the restaurant came into being is a great touch. Ilkley must be very happy to have such a go-to destination!

Really, really tasty great food with fab staff!

Wonderful meal. This was the first time I had eaten at a Sri Lankan restaurant and the food was fantastic. We shared a Brooks platter as an appetiser and both had 2 tapas dishes each with a side of rice and found this to be just about right when both rather hungry. Very friendly and courteous staff who helped with our choice of dishes too, would highly recommend if tired of the same quinine’s and looking to try something fresh

We had a lovely dinner here post walk on Ilkley Moor. The food choices were interesting, beautifully presented and tasty--we ordered vegetarian and were impressed with each dish. Really enjoyed the gin/elderberry sorbet with the raspberry dessert. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal earlier this week. The service was fantastic. He was very attentive and explained the menu well. The food was lovely. The beef was very tender, the chicken livers were tasty and the tempura veg a delight. We thought the bread was a bit doughy so this was taken off our bill. We sat downstairs and even though we were near the door thought the atmosphere was nice.

Our first visit to Brooks and it definitely won't be our last. Delicious food, super-attentive and friendly staff and great service. The lovely owner is full of great stories about the dishes and the inspiration behind them. Go - you won't be disappointed!

Our second visit and instantly we were remembered from our first, the staff could not be more genuine and helpful. The owner is the most passionate and amazing woman who will tell you stories of her mother her inspirations and her dedication to this gastronomic feast. The food was even more amazing than I remembered the atmosphere most congenital. Food was cooked with memories of mothers own recipes and enthused with execution of quality and presentation. Succulent pork beef chicken and prawn dishes full of again and Sri Lankan delights. I was transported to the island full of flavour. Amazing food. If I was to make a recommendation it would be to be proud of the authenticity of the food and history and fill the restaurant with authentic sounds and music...transport me to the island of Sri Lanka and beyond.. the food is amazing and deserves the complete ambience it warrants. I will be back a thousand times.

As always, great service from well trained and friendly staff. They will not let you order too much food. Just love the comprehensive menu, full of flavour and very fresh. Sensibly priced all round abs a lovely atmosphere.

As always, we had a fantastic dining experience at Brooks. The food was fantastic, drinks great and we were pleased to discover that they are dog friendly too! It wasn’t our first time eating here and certainly won’t be our last. If you’re looking for good food, wine and cocktails, brooks has it all.

Visited Brooks for the first time on Friday evening, we weren't disappointed!From the moment we stepped in the door and were wowed by the interior we were welcomed and shown to our table on the first floor. Our waitress was very attentive and brought our drinks within minutes of us arriving. She was also very informative about the menu and her recommendation of the Devilled Beef was definitely a good one! The suggestion of 2-3 dishes and a side we found more than adequate, every single dish was delicious. Would highly recommend Brooks, we will definitely be visiting again to try more dishes from the menu! Slightly pricey but the whole experience was well worth it!

Never had a bad meal at Brooks. Brought two more new friends with us on Friday evening. Tried a few new dishes that we haven’t had before and some firm favourites. They were all delicious and not a single morsel was left. The owners and staff were attentive and friendly but never rushed us. The atmosphere was just right for a ten year reunion - we spent the evening laughing, catching up and celebrating with bubbles. We’ll definitely be back - again!
