Distinctively average!! We were seated by the door, so we were greeted by a freezing breeze every few minutes as people left/arrived. The food took ages to arrive and when it did, rather than being delivered as it was cooked, it was all brought together. Meaning that by the time we worked our way through our selection, it was cold. The time from starters at mains was really long too. They ran out of our wine selection and also didnt inform us of dishes they had run out of until we went to order them (for mains and desserts) We felt very much ignored by the staff throughout our visit, sadly we wont be returning. There are much more attentive places in Ilkley to visit

6 of us had a meal here on a Wednesday evening. The welcome was very warm, servers attentive and very pleasant. The food was gorgeous. The tapas are about the size of a decent starter so 2 with a side are a decent amount. We mostly had 3 tapas and it was plenty. The atmosphere was lovely, all twinkly fairy lights, quite sophisticated. A few of us had a glass of house wine, which was great quality. It would be easy to spend a lot of money as everything sounds really tasty. We are definitely going back.

Just go!! If you want delightful food, beautifully cooked then this is the place for you. Fresh food, balanced spices and great value. What more could you need?

Excellent food excellent service

We enjoyed our tapas at Brooks as the food was very tasty and the choice was a little bit different. Staff were all very attentive, friendly & helpful.

Had a great meal at Brooks - very tasty Sri Lankan curries and side dishes we particularly enjoyed the hake and daal. Good atmosphere not too noisy and lovely hosts. Very good value for delicious food.

Eat here for the first time and it was fantastic, our food was excellent and the service was the same and dog friendly which is a plus for use. A little expensive at first glance but after tasting the food it is definitely worth paying for. We will definitely be back.

Recommended by friends, Brooks did not disappoint. Fabulous food and service, lovely surroundings. We visited on a Tuesday evening and it was quiet, but still had some atmosphere. Best tapas I have ever had, excellent value for money too.

Food was excellent. We tried at least 4 dishes + sides, with the Seafood sharing platter also (which was ridiculously good). Service was quick and tentative and the location and setting felt very intimate. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. Booked here beaded on other reviews before an event at Kings Hall and it did not disappoint. Staff attentive, great choice of tapas, and the food was some of the best tapas ever tasted. Will definitely go back.

Brooks came recommended by a couple of friends and what a recommendation. Staff so friendly and helpful. Food was so good. Will be returning when next in Ilkley.

What a smashing family -run restaurant! Delicious Sri Lankan influenced food served in tapas style. Couldn’t have been made more welcome. Lovely wine list helped our friend’s birthday celebrations along! This excellent dinner was a highlight of our Yorkshire trip - thank you for looking after us so well.

Yet another top meal at Brooks Ilkley. Great way to spend a Friday lunchtime. Definitely didn’t need tea! Never had anything I didn’t enjoy here. And love the owners - so friendly and genuine.

This was our second visit to Brooks and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and the small, tapas-style portions mean that you get to try lots of different things from the menu. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. I was just disappointed that I was driving so I couldn’t have an orange espresso martini! Highly recommend.
