Had the most amazing time. Food came so quickly and such amazing quality for the price. The portions were great as well. We had such tasty starters and mains, will have to go back for desert next time. Can’t wait to come again

We had a lovely meal which was really authentic Italian food and great value. The restaurant is lovely and really handy for the metro. We had booked for 6 people but 4 got stuck in South Shields after the Great North Run but the manager was really understanding. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.

Arrived a little early with the family for a booking we had later to avoid the rain - we were wonderfully accommodated. Then the food was excellent and the service wonderful, truly an afternoon rescued from disappointment by a wonderful meal.

We attended for a birthday party in a group of 11. The service was excellent, the food was superb and we had a really lovely birthday celebration.

Our first time at Avanti after it was recommended to us by a good friend. We received a warm welcome at the door and enjoyed a very good meal. The maitre’d couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. Will definitely return and pass on the recommendation!

Booked online for 6.00 table for 2! Welcomed in and had a lovely window table. It was our 42nd wedding anniversary and we hadn’t been to Avanti for a number of years . It may well become our go to restaurant as we were spoilt with the service, the food was great and the atmosphere lively. Busy early evening for a Tuesday and staff coped well with no rush and no delay. A complimentary cake, candle and drink were very much appreciated ! A good Italian menu with tasty wines and beers. We both enjoyed steak stroganoff , tender and on a bed of risotto rice. Very friendly staff making it an extremely pleasant evening. 5 ratings across the board - thank you!

Me and my wife went to Avanti for the first time last Sunday. The staff were very helpful and pleasant,the food was lovely and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.

An attractive Italian restaurant with a warm welcome, delicious meals, generous portions and lovely waiting staff. Really nice and relaxing atmosphere. It was my first visit with friends and will be returning.
