The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalThe family had a great meal here. The place is under new ownership and looks great. A very professional set up.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalTerrible! The salad was wilted and stale. The coffee was weak because they put water in the cup before the coffee! I have never seen that done before. It was undrinkable.
Cafe Nova @ Beales – KendalIf you are in Kendal and you want a lite bite, or something more substantial Charlie's is the best in town, order at the counter then take a seat, it is usually busy so you may have to wait a short while because everything is freshly made. With good food and cheerful service it is the place to eat.
Charlies Cafe Bar – KendalLovely meals, perfect service by outstanding staff. thank you.
Booths Cafe – KendalJolly good food in pleasant surroundings. friendly staff and a wide range of drinks and ales at reasonable prices. Also the pub was obviously well cared for as the tables were kept clear and the pub was a credit to the management and staff. Well done!.
The Miles Thomson – Wetherspoons – KendalLove this place. Bought lots of foodie goodies to take home and my son and I enjoyed our lunch there too.
Low Sizergh Barn – KendalEnjoyed a very good Sunday lunch here last week. The place has a lovely warm and rustic feel to it. Log fires and an Olde Worlde charm. The service was good, partiularly from the friendly manager. The only downside was a waitress not knowing if nuts were actually in the turkey. She said they were not but they were. All front of house staff should know exactly what is on the menu and get trained on that by the chef!
The Strickland Arms – Kendalgood vaule for money and delicious food :)
Finkles – KendalWalked in here on Friday, sat down, was ignored by staff who didn't look remotely interested, walked out..
Finkles – KendalTerrible experience and we only ordered a toaster and coffee. How hard could that be? It turned up at the table burned and greasy resembling fried bread. When we complained we were told that it wasn't burnt or greasy ( clearly must have been my eyes) and that this time they would take the money off but never again. The manager was rude although had the cheek to call me bad mannered! In fair was by the end I was probably not my politest but I think even a Sunday school teacher may have has her patience tested.Avoid
Prelude – KendalI have been to this restaurant and the food is wonderful and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend it. .....
Bengal Restaurant – KendalWent in last night, place was very busy and the food was absolutely amazing!!! Highly recommend to anyone. Equally, the staff and atmosphere were second to none... Just what kendal has been needing keep up the good work!!!!
Istanbull Bar & Grill – KendalWould recommend this place to anyone who likes eating in Wetherspoons. Thar's the quality of the meal we had there last weekend. Oh and on complaining and then paying we were asked to leave immediately. On returning to my car in the morning my cars roof had been slashed. working on the principle that the two aren't linked then watch out for someone in the sleepy town of Brigsteer carrying a knife.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalWe have eaten at Artisan several times in the evening and the food and presentation is spot on.
Booths Cafe – KendalHave eaten here a few times recently and the food was wonderful. Highly recommended.
Bengal Restaurant – KendalHaving been a fan of Jintana Thai in Bowness for many years and travelling there on a regular basis from Lancaster, we were really happy to find they've opened a second branch in Kendal. Same great food, in an even more beautiful restaurant than the already beautiful one in Bowness. Staff are attentive but not too intrusive. definitely a must on visiting Kendal. Just wish they would open in Lancaster.
Jintana Thai – KendalGreat place to shop for high quality produce in the Lakes.
Low Sizergh Barn – Kendal
