I went to the Talbot tonight with friends the staff were friendly and helpful. The food, omg was awful. The menu picture was so much better than when it came out over cooked burnt nearly lost a tooth. Won't be going back at all not even our friends will go back, should have stayed in had beans on toast would have been more enjoyable. What a waste of money we spent, fed up big time.

Having happened upon The Brassmill a few months ago we decided to go there on 3rd February for a birthday celebration. This time we were not as lucky. There were 6 of us and 2 had fish pie which I can only describe as "sloppy and wet" - a spoon would have been better than a knife and fork. One person had gamon steak which was overcooked and another person had burnt sausages! That left 2 people with ok meals. I was shocked to note that 3 250ml glasses of a mediocre rose wine came to £18.75 - £6.25 a glass! We have another birthday coming up in a few weeks time and will make certain we don't repeat this disappointment.

We've been to The Brassmill several times over the past few years but our recent visit was disappointing to say the least. It's always busy on a Sunday but we expected that so when ordering our food, we took up their suggestion printed on the menu and ordered some bread with olive oil to nibble on as we waited for our food. 20 minutes later, still no bread, so we asked a waitress who checked and told us 'they're just doing it now'. 5 minutes later she brought out a board of lovely looking bread. Shame it was like cardboard as it had blatantly been microwaved to death, therefore inedible. After 40 minutes (having been told the wait was 30) we had to chase up our food only to be told that because we had ordered the bread, the food would be longer to give us time to eat the starter, despite it not being a starter, just, as they suggested to us, something to nibble as we wait! The food was plentiful but cold plates meant everything cooled within a couple of minutes, the veg was undercooked and everything had just been cobbled together with little care or attention. Very much below normal standards for this place all round. On a plus note, the waiting staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. Shame they were struggling with such a badly run kitchen.

Me and my partner came here last year, the staff were helpful but he restaurant was freezing so much so that we had to ask to move to another part of the room which turned out to be no warmer. The food was nice but some what over priced.

The food is average. Vegetables frozen from a packet. Ordered two glasses of coke without ice, but only got two half full glasses. When I asked them to top them up, was refused on the grounds that if I had ice in them, it would have filled up the glass.! £1.80 for half a glass of coke is a RIP OFF

I recently visited the ship inn with my girlfriend for valentine's day, The selection on the menu was superb as well as the atmosphere. We had a great night staying to have drinks with the locals. I would recommend the ship inn every time due to its friendly staff and 2nd to none service. We will be visiting again very soon.

This place was recommended to me recently so I took my girlfriend there and had a wonderful meal on the way back from bath after a days shopping, My first authentic Thai restaurant and was blown away by the flavours. They will even customise spice levels on dishes so if your like me and not great with really hot food you can still try everything. The home made Ice cream is just the best, I had their latest flavour pina colada Mmmmm.

At first impressions The Ship Inn looks like a drinkers pub and to be honest it is as it has a great selection of real ales, with normally at least three guest ales as well as it normal beers. But take a closer look and you will find probably the best restaurant food in Kenysham. I could not believe how good it was when we visited with some friends and I would return just for the Mushroom soup. The menu is a little bit mixed up, especially with small Tapas selection (which is excellent by the way) but overall brilliant. At the time of writing they have a deal on Tuesday and Wednesdays of two courses and a glass of wine of £12.

The best curry in Keynsham, you can't go wrong. Excellent food and impeccable service. We've eaten out here several times and have never had any problems, best to book for the weekend nights. Take away is available too, although would advise phoning first so you're not hanging around, although you could always get a cheeky drink in whilst waiting!

Our family visit the Brassmill regularly on a family meet up. No troubles, very relaxing and the food is both good and inexpensive. We have also attended the New Years Party a year ago which was cheap for a new year at £6.00 per head. Nice location and lots of parking available. Easy reach of the town centre and walks by the Canal/River nearby. Worth a visit!
