We have used this chippy for 11years and rate it as the best takeaway chippy in Lancashire Always excellent fish and plenty of beautifully cooked chips.

Having attended a few private events here over the years, I am compelled to wax lyrical about the atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff and the beautiful grounds... I shall however resist and leave it at this... Excellent service, food, atmosphere and ambience - good work all

Went to Knott End Cafe for my lunch, my first impression was quite good. The young waitresses were very pleasant and efficient. The food was very nice (10/10 for the lovely male chef). A very pleasurable experience with the exception of a couple of rude staff members.

I have to disagree with Ann, Ive lived in Knott End for 31 Years and despite the odd foreign object in my curry sauce, I still preferred it when it was mine. Surely you enjoyed my Chips Ann and my special discount which you took advantage of every Friday after closing hours ;)

Great restaurant, i come from Manchester and every single pizza/kebab/burger house i have been too, which is alot trust me, is no match for carlitos. If you are knocking about in knott end or the surrounding area it is worth a visit, plus it is cheaper than most kebab houses also. 13/10.

We have lived locally for 30 years. Knott-end fish and chip shop is now the best it has ever been. The fish is superb and chips excellent. They always have a special which is good value. Cannot be faulted. Although busy the owner always has a chat.

my family travel over to knott end once a week to see my father , and always visit kays . since mick took over the food quality has been excellent . The fish is fresh ,and you cannot fault it .we always sit in the cafe side and are made very welcome. i cannot comment on any of the pies or puddings as the fish is to good to resist. keep up the good work mick , pity you didn't live in Preston as your fish and chips are cut above what we get over here.ps fresh hake again on Saturday.

Good quality food, good value, well cooked by friendly staff.

If you are in the area it is certainly worth giving it a go. Probably the best fish and chips i have had in years. We will be back

What a great place is the Knott End Cafe. Brilliant food and service. Such friendly and efficient staff.

Knott End Cafe starts again on Wednesday 1st April 2009. The Bourne Arms is open all year round for bikers on a Wednesday evening as well as Sunday mornings, where you will find a mix of old and new bikes. Wednesday evening at the cafe is 6pm - 9pm Bourne Arms open general public hours serving tea/Coffee etc Sunday morning at the Bourne Arms is 9-30am - 12 noon

went there last Sunday and on our trike, no one else there but was still a nice ride out and could be fun with a few more as there are a lot of nice country pubs on route from M55

My friends and i have visited this restaurant over the past three years and quite often on sunday, were we have an excellent lunch in beautiful surroundings. Sara Coverley and her staff make you feel very welcome and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and are very attentive in making sure they look after you. In particular my partner and i are vegetarian and on every occasion when we have booked they have made sure they have a very good and varied selection of vegetarian dishes. The food is excellent and i certainly believe good value for your money. We have been so impressed with the service, food and the hospitality that we go there time and time again as we know we get spoilt!! I thproughly would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys their food and the service is excellent. Sam

i have visited Springfield house many times IE Xmas eve new years day lunch and many family parties.I have also recommended the hotel too many friends and relations.they always report back to me saying what great night out they had with fabulous food and drink served with a smile by a friendly helpful team with one aim.to make you feel special every time you visit. what a gem! although you'll probably have to go out of your way to get there, it's definitely worth the wait! top quality English food, yumm. service is usually great - but it sometimes falters when busy (sundays!). not a cheap meal out, but you certainly get what you pay for!

i know i was served garbage...never go back again rather drive to blackpool 30plus miles to get asian food.i can't believe they get away with serving crappy food...
