Fantastic Pub in a beautiful setting, inside or outside, such a relaxed seaside atmosphere being located on the gorgeous Lancaster Canal. Nothing is to much trouble for Bill and his staff, customers happiness is what matters to them. Wonderful Food from a top class chef, everything beautifully set out and locally sourced. Food and Drink at very reasonable prices. The Canal Turn is a must anytime your in Carnforth at anytime of the day. But do book in advance The Canal Turn is very popular.

Very welcoming and managed to squeeze us in late Saturday afternoon. Great service and wonderful food. I highly recommend the Lasagne and we will certainly visit again during our break away.

Visited The Canal Turn on 12/6/21 on a lovely sunny day. The staff were so friendly, provided an excellent service and nothing was too much trouble even though they were very busy. Food was excellent and good value- again quick service considering how busy they were! Fantastic view and great music made this a wonderful visit! Highly recommended

Great little place on the canal with a restaurant view along the canal Banks.. Dog friendly, good walk along the canal and back. Great service by Karen and Codie. Good selection of ale.

Table 19 05/06/2021 Booked our table last minute and was advised that the only one left had a view of the pot wash area. Karen was very apologetic about this. When we got to the pub, the table was great. No-one in my party was put of by this at all. They were really busy but apologised for the delay in serving the food, which we didn't really notice. The food was served piping hot and was great. The music was great too.

I’ve never had issue here good amazing drinks good staff lovely ☺️ and just nice place to be specially outside in the summer shame it’s shut atm Covid has made life hard but before that this pub was the best

Please do not eat here. When small fish and chips arrived I asked if it was a child portion!!! I was required to pay before the food arrived and then when questioned the food, was told this is what we do. Stay away as the food is cheap ! Took a photo but can’t upload! Loads of single men not showing any signs or social distancing!!!

Just had lunch at this lovely place. Very pretty location. The food is lovely and fresh. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have been very thoughtful regarding to Covid. Each table has its own glass screen with waitress only service. We felt very safe and well looked after. Thank you to all the staff.

We went to the Canal turn for dinner tonight. The food was ok. But the measures in place for Covid were not satisfactory in my opinion. You were allocated a table, but then had to go to the bar to order food, and also to order drinks. So it ended up with groups of people waiting for drinks, not socially distancing. I didn't feel safe. We were the only ones wearing a mask as we left.

Always eat here when in the area. Great food, brilliant staff, a great atmosphere and a feeling of a safe environment. Can’t recommend this place enough. Views to die for too.

Had an enjoyable visit to The Canal Turn last evening (23rd July 2020), lovely location and views, good food, friendly and helpful staff, and reasonably well set out, particularly considering the limitations caused by the need for social distancing. Will return sometime in the future when we're in the area again.

Visited The Canal Turn on the day they re-started serving food. The staff were friendly and courteous & explained how they would be keeping everyone safe. There was a reduced menu - but plenty of choice - catering well for my dietary requirements. We all enjoyed our meals and would recommend a visit.

Lovely location, attentive team members, clean and tidy. A great wine selection and menu (although coming back to sample the food) The atmosphere inside is welcoming and the views amazing.

A really nice and welcoming place to stop for a pint or evening out reasonable prices quality drinks we used to to go to Longlands but it’s a bit pricey and you don’t get the free entertainment. Keep up the good work.

Lovely food and atmosphere at reasonable prices. Good size portions served with a smile. Found this online when looking for a bite to eat on way back home from Lake District. Would definitely make an effort to try it out.

I haven’t been here for a while. I remember why. Your white wine is awful. Sauvignon Blanc and the Chardonnay even, Bloody awful cheap crap a la Blossom Hill. That’s why I go to Longlands but maybe you’re not aiming at the older female market who wants some music and a good glass of wine. Longlands does not have the music but I’ll take a delicious glass of good wine in a beautiful glass any day. It’s been a serious let down for me tonight and it’s what stops me coming to eat also

Not an area I’m familiar with at all but after a Sunday walk in the country near Arkholme we stopped off for a quick beer and a snack here at The Red Well Inn. There were plenty of customers tucking into a Sunday lunch which looked good but we just shared chips, cheese and pulled pork. Recently refurbed I think and they have rooms here too if you fancy staying over.
