Absolute amazing place , very friendly polite well mannered staff give us a fantastic experience whilst watching England beat Ukraine. Must be the most best table service received will definitely be coming back. Tony amazing owner

Barge & Barrel – EllandVisited Golden Dragon last night (28/10/10) as first time diners. Strange entrance to the restaurant through a bar area (with a karaoke room which happily was unoccupied) and upstairs. First impressions were spacious and cold.... a bit too cold on an October evening in Yorkshire. Staff were friendly and helpful, made ammendments to a starter for me to make it vegetarian.... drinks were reasonable at £2.60 for a pint of carling (just as an example - not a recommendation) and £1.30 for a Diet Coke (which admittedly was a bit flat). Food was piping hot, really well cooked and very tasty. Lovely crunchy vegetables, king prawns cooked well and good sauces. Dare I say it.... even the chips were nice (sorry). We paid about £18 each and it was about right for the area and food.... I'll definitely go back there, but take an extra jumper!!

We popped in to the Caddyshack on a recommendation, we had been before but apparently it has been taken over by new owners and the food has greatly improved. we went with my parents for a Sunday lunch ,it was the best Sunday dinner I have ever had !a bold statement indeed. but at only 5.50 we were more than impressed, service good great atmosphere can't wait for next Sunday

We went to the Caddy Shack for Sunday Lunch with the in-laws. It's a Golf themed bar in Elland with a great outside area. The food was simple and good value (£4.50 for a good sized roast and £5.75 for a super-sized version). There were lots of locals who seemed to be coming in for a hangover cure roast dinner/ pint and to catch the sport on the screens. Perfect. Apparently the place has been taken over by new owners, who seemed very friendly and enthusiastic.
