Our first time in this restaurant and will definitely return. Warmly greeted and shown to our table when we arrived. We ordered a couple of the unusual cocktails as we browsed the menu. Pleased that there was already tap water on each table. We ordered 5 dishes between two of us plus coconut rice. Each dish was great- I would particulary recommend the baby gem lettuce leaf 'tacos'. The only slight negative is the 'trio of puddings' - for £12.50 you get 3 tiny, not even bite sizes. A normal pudding is cheaper (£7..50) and look bigger than the 3 we had put together - so won't be ordering the trio again. But all in all, would recommend.

Brooks has become our favourite place to eat in Ilkley. We did a four week holiday touring Sri Lanka and loved the food…and the people…3 years ago. Brooks brings back wonderful memories and ticks all the boxes. The food is amazing with flavours that excite, the portions are perfect and the service is 5 star.

It’s a return trip for us - love the food, the staff, the owners. A real welcome from Sudu ❤️ Can recommend the beans and cashews, chicken skewers and especially the aubergine dish. Loads for vegans - we had one in our party. Thank you we will be back

We really like the food at Brooks - innovative, different and delicious. Unfortunately our visit on Friday 17/4 was disappointing because of the extremely slow service and the late delivery of one dish long after all the others and close to when the 4 of us had almost finished our main course. We questioned the delays and were told that they were very busy and the booking system accepted too many bookings between 7 and 8pm and it seemed they couldn’t do anything about it. This was an odd explanation and I would suggest they get this sorted. They will be disappointing customers and they’ll not get repeat visits. There was no warning that we’d have to wait longer than we might expect and no explanation until we asked. One of our group had to go out to put more money in to the parking meter for the car. We’d booked for 7pm and you have to pay until 10pm in the car park. We’d paid up to 9:40pm and it wasn’t enough. Anyway, I doubt I’ll rush back to Brooks for a while.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is, service 5⭐️, food I cannot even score high enough. The meals, value for money and the impecible service. We can’t wait to come back over just for this restaurant. Thank you for a nice treat for our anniversary and see you soon x

Absolutely delicious food, wonderful service, and great to find out the family history behind some of the dishes. Definitely a place to return to.

Visited with family for a birthday. Food was delicious with a variety of vegetarian options. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was good with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will be return.
