Had a wonderful meal here on a Sunday evening in London recently. They have a special Sunday Prix Fixe deal which is just £35 for three course with a choice of eight starters, mains and desserts. Fabulous value for top-quality cooking and service.

Really loved this restaurant – what a find! It’s just off the Kings Road in Duke Of York Square and is what you would class as upmarket Italian. Fab ambience at night with perfect lighting and great table settings. Very good Italian wine list and a really interesting menu. My in-laws ordered the turbot which was the best they’ve ever had. Very highly recommended.

Lovely Al fresco lunch for three. Caprese salad to die for and a fab steak main. Great summer lunch spot.

very good quality dim sum at a reasonable price. The special recommendations section of the menu is a must go if you're inclined to spend a bit more. Enjoyed it very much!

What a charming place this is. No silly and outrageous prices either, and the food was exactly as you'd get in Italy - down to earth, simple but with great flavour. I can't believe I've been shopping in Harrods all these years and not noticed this little gem sitting right next door. It will be my new regular haunt, whenever I visit Knightsbridge.

My girlfriend and I dined at La Dolce Vita last Sunday evening about 6pm. The surround was ok, far too bright and stark for my liking though and they could have done a lot more with the decor. We both had a glass of house red wine (which was particularly good) but when we asked for 2 glasses of tap water, we were refused them by our waitress. Apparently she has been asked many times for tap water by customers, but the manager refuses to supply or even sell it. When i told her that they were breaking the law by not even offering to sell us the tap water she just laughed it off and stood her ground. I wasn't even allowed to speak to the manager. Food was average. Stay well clear!

Richoux on Brompton Road is one of my favourite restaurants, and I make a point of going there whenever I visit London (whether I decide to walk across the street to Harrods or not!). Richoux has the most comfortable, casual elegance in ambience and decor, has great servers who are always pleasant, and, of course, good food. I confess I have not been to Richoux for dinner, but for breakfast, lunch or tea, it is one of the most comfortable places for a solo-traveling female to dine. I think many local residents are customers there, as well -- and that says a lot to me. I took some pictures this time (April 2007) so I can remember the look and feel of Richoux til the next time!

Lovely warm atmosphere on a rainy, grey spring day! The young staff were welcoming and seemed pleased to help and give advice on items on the menu (which catered to all tastes, including vegetarians, I noticed). Service was prompt and courteous. My partner and I decided to move directly into our main course, although the selection of starters was adequate. My wild mushroom risotto was really lovely! Served in a good sized plain white plate, it was served piping hot and carefully decorated. I could smell the mushroom aroma before my first forkful, and I was not disappointed. In my experience, it's fairly unusual to be able to pick out the freshness of the ingredients, these days. I could taste every piece of mushroom and the stock was definitely home-made. The Parmesan was used discreetly - no drowning out the other tastes in this dish! My partner chose the lamb. It was very nicely presented and, judging by the clean plate, this too was a highly successful choice! We had a long drive ahead, so chose not to have any of the wines. There's a more than adequate choice, though. Finally, the highlight of a truly good meal . . . the chocolate tartlets. If these were the only item on the menu, they would be sufficient reason to return to The Enterprise!

Aglio e Olio is the only Italian restaurant in London where the food I have eaten has remained imprinted on my memory. Believe me, I have tried eating at more well known (and more pricy) restaurants but I have usually departed thinking ?hat? all the fuss about...?? The food at Aglio e Olio remains simple and uncomplicated. To start off I usually have a basket of Italian bread and antipasti. Moving on to main courses, Rigatoni with Broad Beans and Pancetta is my favourite pasta dish on the menu. Finally, your bill will arrive accompanied by a glass of jelly beans!

I took my wife there for a birthday surprise. The food was LUSH!!! Had a chance to meet Gordon (my new hero!!) What a really nice bloke he was - gave me a tour of the kitchen and came and sat with us for a chat. Would definitely recommend this place - very expensive but you do get what you pay for.

A perfect evening, all staff were excellent, the food was amazing (I had pigeon) the wine list also excellent. The cost was as you would expect, pricey. You know what they say "You get what you pay for !" Making the reservation you have to call exactly 1 month before, to get a table. Didn't see Gordon !
