Best Chinese in East London. Sunday Buffet wonderful, reasonably priced. Drinks bit pricey but hey who cares the food well makes up for it.

I AM A BUSINESS WOMAN WHO NEEDS TO TRAVEL FOR HER WORK. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL INDIAN RESTAURANTS AROUND THE WORLD, BUT I CAN QUITE HONESTLY SAY THAT TAMARIND COMES OUT TOPS EVERY TIME. THE FOOD IS CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT, AND THE PORTIONS ARE VERY GENEROUS. ITS ALWAYS PRESENTED BEAUTIFULLY, AND THE SPICES USED FRAGRANT THE FOOD TO AN EXTREMELY HIGH STANDARD. I AM ALWAYS FELT TO FEEL LIKE A VIP. I HAVE NOTICED ON MY TRIPS TO THIS RATHER SUAVE JOINT, THAT ALL AND SUNDRY ARE MADE TO FEEL AT HOME. THE WAITERS ARE PATIENT AND ARE ALWAYS AT HAND, BUT ALSO STAND AND KEEP THEIR DISTANCE WHEN THE SITUATION CALLS FOR IT. I AM ALL WAYS IMPRESSED WITH THE WINES AVAILABLE. THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODYS PALLETT AND A WINE IS RECOMMENDED FOR EACH COURSE BY THEIR RATHER NICE SOMMELLIER. I HAVE HAD CHEAPER MEALS, IN CHEAPER RESTAURANTS. BUT, WHEN I AM IN LONDON, OR ENTERTAINING TO IMPRESS, TAMARIND IS TOPS. THEY DESERVER ALL THE ACCOLADES THEY DISPLAY IN THEIR RESTAURANT, AND EACH OF THE STAFF ARE OF THE HIGHEST CALIBRE AVAILABLE. EXCELLENT TAMARIND!

We went here to have a celebration breakfast - i had just graduated, & we wanted a champagne style breakfast. The atmosphere was very french, we sat on the chairs they had outside in the sunshine, sipping champagne & a continental style breakfast. The service was very good, choice of food excellent, we'll be going back!

One of our locals! On a sunny day you can sit outside, as it becomes cool they have the over head heaters that generate lots of heat, and inside is lovely too. Spacious dining, excellent food, a little disappointing on the wine list - we ordered a rather dodgy tasting bottle of wine!! Beware.... They have changed their menu recently too - and i have to say it's a lot better than before!!

This place is the best Thai i have ever been to. It is excellent in every way. We never sit where we are offered, always move around - staff fine with it, very pleasant & always happy. The majority of visits we get recommendations from the waiter for our meal, and they always get it right. Excellent choices & great wine list. The bar is well organised, with many cocktails on offer! They have a fantastic menu, we always have a great time whenever we go....which is quiet regular! :o) I have recommended this restaurant to everyone we know!! You must go!

I was taken here as a surprise for my birthday last xmas (2004) & I thoroughly enjoyed it. The decor was great, the atmosphere was calm & friendly. The staff saw to our every need & the food was excellent. The portions were big, but the waitress advised us accordingly on our appetite- & she was right - there massive!!! We'll definitely be going back!

The cost is pricey; but if you compare price vs the food+service, its a bargain. The food is sooooooooo yummy & the service is impeccable. Tamarind satisfies the craving for the real Indian food. Hence, no need to fly back to India. Love the friendly staff @ Tamarind. Wish all the restaurants learn how to prepare food likeTamarind does.

One of the first vegetarian restaurants to stray from the boring norm. Manna has been a treasured gem for years offering exciting and fresh, modern dishes. Good for kids and quite trendy.

Funky local gastro pub with a good top shelf and wine list. Old pub retains its original features and has a lively atmosphere with a great bohemian crowd.

A great place to chill out in the garden avary, and soak up the sun after walking the dogs in the woods.

One of the most accomplished of all the neighbourhood gastro pubs. They got it right from day one, great staff, exciting and interesting menus, superb wine list. Unpretentious, quality, good for talent and celebrity spotting.

Long established and very good Greek, located in the oasis that is Primrose Hill. This place is rammed every lunchtime, and its great on a sunny day when the front opens up to the street. Superb food that is authentic and well presented.

The best place to come for Sunday afternoon Dim Sum, the place is always packed full of Chinese. The staff are great and always have a laugh. The authentic Dim Sum is continually pushed round the huge dining room and you simply pick what you like. Fantastic

The first time I came here I mentioned to the barman that I? never eaten oysters before, so he gave me a couple on the house, just to see if I liked them. I?e been coming back ever since. It? a great Irish boozer of a place, restored to its former glory a few years back by Tom Conran. Downstairs is awash with Guinness and seafood platters - upstairs is a small mix-match restaurant with a decent menu. Take away the ?rendy?media types who sometimes invade the already cramped bar, and it? damn near perfect.

Little gem in the heart of MayFair - would recommend to book though as it can get busy.

Probably more famous for its cupboard than anything else. The bento boxes are good value. Reservations are required and is very pricey but lunch is better value. If you have not made a reservation you can always grab a place at the bar and eat there.

Great Value meals, cheap and cheerful!

Love the BBQ's here in the summer months! Great spot for the Notting Hill carnival!
