The Lord Clyde has become a favourite of ours, an excellent gastro pub with a welcoming atmosphere. We’ve eaten here with parents and friends on many occasions with not a bad word to say about the place. Black Sheep Bitter and Deuchars are on the pumps and both are kept in excellent condition. We regularly eat here and regard it as the standard against which we judge other pub restaurants,and it is unusual to find any to equal it.We are lucky in having it as our 'local'. A&BK

i celebrated my 40th birthday at the deli garden last weekend, and had an great evening. the staff were extremely professional and friendly. the food was exceptional, i couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Betty even surprised us with a birthday cake! i recommend this restaurant to all Chinese food lovers! it is the best Chinese restaurant in macc.

The recent refurbishment has made it light and airy still feeling cosy. I took my mother in for lunch and enjoyed a beautiful meal and was served by friendly helpful staff its nice to see the old coffee shops still going and waitress service makes a fantastic change. It cost around £15 for lunch and was well worth it a very nice treat.

One of the finest restaurants in the area. Excellent ingredients, well-chosen dishes, and everything cooked to near-perfection. The owner is meticulous in trying to ensure his guests are happy. The place is always busy and although a touch pricey, worth every penny. This is how to run a restaurant!

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. Every time I visit England I visit Chesters. The food is outstanding, the service is wonderful. You feel like your one of the family.

Excellent food in wonderful country cottage environment, very romantic in the evenings and cosily comfortable for lunchtime. Nothing too much trouble for the excellent serving staff. Menu changes regularly so one you will never get bored with.

If you have not tried this place you have not had Chinese food!! Simply the best in the land... a must for anyone even the Valentines menu's is fab....go...........treat yourself to a night out to remember...try it, you won't be disappointed, TAKEAWAY AVAILABLE AND IT'S JUST AS GOOD...ENJOY.

beautiful looking coffee shop nice furniture and the staff are ok but the service was ok. the food nice but very expensive were talking around £5.00 for a sandwich. the coffee is nice but it could be better.

We have eaten here on many occasions, and cannot fault the standard of the food ,and the staff are so friendly , the takeaway has always had a good reputation, but you need to go and enjoy the restaurant

Six of us ate in the restaurant and the service was excellent. We have had many take aways from here and they have always been of a very high standard, having the food there and then made it even more enjoyable. All the girls were even presented with a rose after the meal. They also do a Sunday buffet would recommend. Excellent quality and a reasonable price. What more could you want!

I found the food a bit fancy - Iam more of an egg and chips man myself. However the ambience was great -ideal for wining and dining my B&B landlady

we recently visited the wizard are were so pleased we found it! we had one of the best meals we have had for a very long time in an area which seems to be dominated by-middle-of-the-road Italian or Italianesque eateries. The staff were very charming and polite and nothing seemed too much trouble. We had some great scallops and duck spring rolls for starters followed by a barrel fillet steak that melted in the mouth with a lovely cheesy mushroom sauce & good creamy mash. The Seabass was also excellent and obviously very fresh with some tender local asparagus. The puddings were "to die for" - the best brownie i've ever had - and i've had a few! and a really good brulee rounded off our meal - all washed down with some very good house wines - altogether an excellent meal! we booked again while we were there and intend to return regularly. Keep up the good word Wizard and we will spread the word to those we think worthy!!
