Visited A Tavola recently for a wedding anniversary meal with my wife - what a wonderful evening! A lovely warm and genuine welcome and we were pleased to find a very exciting range of options on the menu with some very attractive Sicilian specialities. which was a very welcome departure from the staple pizza/pasta of the formula Italian restaurant. All the food was quite delightful, as was the reasonably-priced wine, with the fresh pasta being something very special. However we have to highlight the deserts, in particular the cannoli which we agreed was the best we have ever had, beating the superb cannoli we have tried on holiday in Rome, Florence and Naples! Like other reviewers, we can't wait to come back and try more on this menu and to enjoy the A Tavola welcome and atmosphere again. Feel very blessed to have a restaurant like this on our doorstep! Cannot praise highly enough!

Authentic Italian food is hard to come by in the UK, but this gem of a restaurant absolutely nails it! It felt like we were in Palermo. We’ll be back…

Great night for my son's birthday!

Came here for the first time on Saturday evening. The food is amazing. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Felt like being on holiday. Can’t wait to visit again.

We have eaten at this restaurant a number of times and have always enjoyed the food. The service was friendly and efficient as always. We have taken different friends here and they were equally impressed. We look forward to eating here again and we consider the 30 mile round trip from our home well worth the effort.

Great restaurant, excellent service and, as always, gorgeous food! I have just a couple of recommendations. Your sea bass is lovely, but to take it up a notch, how about crisping the skin. I sat upstairs yesterday, lovely space, but too warm! Air conditioning would solve that.

Lovely filling meal with attentive staff friendly and so welcoming. This was my second visit and exactly like the first time e noted thoroughly. I had baba ganoush starters and grill King prawn with rice and salad I was so full I couldn't fit a dessert in. Thank you for a lovely meal x

First time dining here this week, what a new local gem. Beautiful food, excellent service. Already booked to go back as we want to try everything on the menu!

Lovely food ... especially the arancini and the tiramiso (to die for ) .... I do wish we'd been outside round the back though as we found it very noisy as the evening went on ....

Fantastic food and excellent service as always. Our go to restaurant and so lucky to have it within walking distance. The menu changes often enough to showcase the best quality in season produce but is comforting so never daunting; even our 15 year old niece who is "particular" found at least one item in each course that she wanted and loved everything. Had a lovely meal here, looks like they’ve been in the new premises for a lot longer! Food was really good, lovely and fresh and amazing flavour. The staff are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately we had the last sitting at 2130pm so a lot of the specials were gone however there was still plenty to choose from. Will definitely return and go earlier so I can bag some of the specials!

I had heard good things about the restaurant and they were confirmed when I visited with my daughter, her husband and small children. We were all made very welcome and had a wonderful meal - the best Italian meal that I think I have ever eaten, either here or in Italy. We ate off the Specials menu, if only to stop us being completely spoilt for choice. The children's' menu was excellent and would be sufficient for quite old children. I am looking forward to returning.
