We had asked the staff to cook us some tapas. We were promised 5 dishes and in the end had 12! Excellent tapas and Sangria even a regular wine drinker can drink! The restaurant had been decorated when we arrived, in the traditional red and yellow of the Spanish flag. If you need a great dining experience, without the cost of specialist establishments, this is the place.
Cow And Calf Inn – MarpleI went back to the Cow and Calf after the restaurant returned to the control of the management, I am pleased to report that standards are as good as ever! The only problem for me is its not open often enough for food. Go and take a look and a few mouthfuls and you'll be hooked by the place, which appears so ordinary and produces such good, and interesting, food.

It can get seriously popular during Friday and Saturday evenings, so sometimes you have to wait 20 or so minutes for a table - but this just proves what a good deal it is and what a great place it is!
Midland Hotel – Marplethis restaurant was the best restaurant my family has ever been to, the food was great the service was excellent and the owner was the best he came to each table to introduce himself.
La Dolce Vita Restaurant – MarpleMy wife and I have visited this restaurant twice in the past month on both occasions the food really was outstanding. The service was fantastic. One gripe would be the owners passion for abusing his staff in public, this happened on both visits and it is not pleasant for the staff or the customers.
A small country pub with a small car park opposite. Ground floor is the pub, with a dedicated restaurant upstairs. Varied menu, with home made soup at £3.25. Thai filo prawns at £4.95. For a main course try the " Zarzaula," a Catalan fish dish made with, Cod, Prawns, Salmon, Mussels in a tomato /chili sauce at £10.95. This is a free house serving, Phoenix Arizona, Boddies, Adnams & usually a guest ale. Good quality food at reasonable prices.

Tends to get quite busy on Sundays so booking recomended. Large car park at rear, some outside seating available. Just being re decorated.

Marple House – MarpleWhen in marple celebrating new year with friends and family, we ate at this friendly and welcoming restaurant. The five courses were tasteful and widely varied. Although an unlikely spanish atmosphere local residents, staff and excellent entertainment offered us a new years eve to remember. Overall a supurb venue for a delightful night out.
Very good "Rusholme curries" served in a separate dining room adjacent to the bar. Very easy place for all ages and moods. Well-kept Robinson's beer too. This pub is at the heart of Mellor in every way.
The Kitchen at The Royal Oak – MarpleWe have just had a most enjoyable evening at Murillos, the food was very good with a varied menu to suit most tastes. The wine list we found was quite extensive and the staff were friendly. The tables were well spaced and on the night we attended there was a small live band playing background music. all in all a good night out.
Shocked at the recent review of this suberb resaturant. The food was excellent and the atmosphere friendly. The srevice was good, although the interferance of the management wasn't nessacary as staff knew what they were doing. The restraurant is always busy, and waiting for a table was quite long. Overall, this shows how popular this restaurant is for the small town of Marple. Me and my family will definately be returning for its tapas delights.
