We have been going to the Mango for over 10 years and it has never failed to be anything but superb. Everything a good restaurant should be. And if you want something else, just ask and the friendly staff will do their best to get it for you. Run by sincere people who really do care. Take your friends there with confidence!
Mango House – MonmouthThis was the venue for my best friend's wedding on 29/09/07 and I cannot emphasise enough to anyone thinking of getting married here. Think again. The service throughout was appalling, room bookings were messed up on the day so that the bride ended up without anywhere to get ready, they overcharged guests, the staff on reception were rude and obnoxious and worst of all had little idea of how to operate a simple booking system. They also forgot numerous things on the day like putting music on whilst the bride walked down the aisle, flowers for mother of the bride etc. The service was thoroughly awful.

Mango House – MonmouthWe hadn't booked a table originally, and were worried as the front car park was full, we drove round the back to the second car park and found just one space left (The last time we came here you could park anywhere, it was dead!!. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young gentleman behind the bar, who spoke very well for his young age, and he introduced us to David the new owner. We were seated in the 'Bar', which had a lovely large fire place and dark red walls.. the setting was fantastic with just the right lights and candle light on the table. I had the 'French Brie' to start (which oozed into my mouth with remarkable texture) and my wife had the ' Soup of the day' (A fantastic pea and mint), for main I had the 'Salmon' beautifully spiced with cajun taste, and my wife had the very succulent 'Pork Tenderlin'.. with not much room left to eat we decided to share a 'Sticky Toffee Pudding' and it was by far the nicest I have ever tasted. Fantastic food in a lovely setting, We shall definitely be back again.. and encourage all to do so!

Mango House – MonmouthA very comfortable, clean and pleasant place to spend an evening. Whether its dining or just drinking the landlord and staff are very welcoming. We had two meals from the special board and paid £10. The food was well presented and tasty....It was obviously home-cooked. I wish we lived closer! Well Done Guys..... See you very soon!

Mango House – MonmouthI went to this restaurant with high expectations, after hearing so much about it from family and friends. I am glad to say that I was not disappointed. The bar and waitressing staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with a wide selection to choose from (including Ostrich!). Not to mention that the pub is entirely non - smoking. If you?e looking for an enjoyable evening then this is the place for you. Sarah
