a new menu and the food is excellent. would certainly recommend it if you like something a little different.

been to Damon's twice and was not impressed at all the food was really greasy and fatty and got served as soon as we ordered it .they were taking are starter away and giving us are mains the same time and the chips were warmed up in a deep fat fryer i think its horrible;.

very expensive, quality of food on par with macdonalds, a place that kids will enjoy but it isnt the classiest of restaurants, i felt very rush and the food was barely warm. places such as the tavern other establishments on Allerton Road would be a better choice for overal value, service and food. Avoid if possible.

The fillet steak with shoestring onions is a must. gotta be med rare though! also need the recipe for those bourbon mushrooms. Our family love this place, we can certainly recommend Damons to anyone.

For birthdays its a must as its free for you and a nice surprise at the end of your meal. We travel from 20 miles to this place as we know the quality and price is always superb. Try it, you will like it.

Not been to this wonderful eatery for over a year and the food was just as good as remembered, only downside was the service the young gentleman was very courteous but lacked the experience and charm of the last head waiter Eddie, but on a whole still good

Having eaten here several times I took along some friends who had not eaten there before we were not disappointed the food was fresh, delicious...well presented. Service was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive...we were not rushed. Paul’s rates are head and shoulders above many of its contempories in the city centre and as such represents excellent value for money.

Eat here on Saturday night after it being recommended to us. It was excellent! Small selection (as Gordon Ramsay recommends!) and all our choices were fabulous! The service was also first class and unobtrusive - just the right amount of time between courses. My partner found the main course slightly too small and he was still a bit hungry afterwards.... Not a particularly big eater so take this on board Pauls Place! But he loved what he got and it did encourage us to have a pudding which was also delicious. A little South Liverpool Gem costing about £100 for 3 courses for 3 people.

If you like food, you'll love Paul’s Place. Forget the city centre, that’s just for posers. This is a culinary delight. Great food, great staff and a fantastic atmosphere, all at a reasonable price. You won't get a better steak anywhere and as for the sticky toffee pudding mmmmmmmmmmm. 5 Stars.

What a gem of a place - I can't believe we waited this long to find out how good Paul's is. The quality of the food is superb and the staff are friendly but unobtrusive. Originally thought it would be a bit quiet on the inside but in fact its lovely, reminds me a bit of the old Kinsellas. Fine food in fab low key bistro setting!

Damons breakfast in my view are great value for money and excellent for taste. even the children are taken care off with their own menu. the managers and staff are polite and nothing is to much trouble for them. if you have not been WHY NOT?

One of the best local restaurants in Liverpool. Have to say don't be fooled by the small bistro look, the steaks are the best cooked just the way you want it. Lots of regulars - says something about the place doesn't it. The sticky toffee pudding is just the best. Have tried so many sticky toffee puddings just to see if I can find same or better one...... not a chance. me fella had a chocolate pudding which served warm - it just melts in your mouth. its been a while since we've been back. when ever I? in Liverpool I?l be taking a trip down to Paul? place.

Been here on couple of occasions recently with Mum/hubbie. Both times we had very attentive but not too fussy service. Nice touch with warm bread, great for kids. Nice one

Quality food for good prices. I often go after a game of golf and can cost as little as £5 for a roast dinner.

I have recently attended at this taverna and I can honestly say that the food, atmosphere and price were absolutely superb. Without a doubt the best Greek Taverna I have eaten in outside of Greece. Well worth a visit and well worth the money. I would seriously recommend booking in advance and not chancing your arm and turning up off spec.

The food is impeccable, the service is always prompt and with a smile, it has a cosy, friendly atmosphere, and a meal for two with starters usually comes to just under £20! A 5* establishment!!

The first time my family had come to Damons weren't the happiest of people. But since then my family came to visit for a birthday and must say amazing the way we were looked after. Our waitress JO was so pleasant and nothing was too much for her to do. During our stay we experienced the sound of the past in which was so good gave the feel of the old days, also a manager had the time to come and say hello checked everything was ok with our meals and service but done it in the way we dint feel bugged. So many thanks to JO who was our waitress and the management team.
