Indian Ocean – NantwichJust goes to show how wrong some reviews can be. Recent visit left a lot to be desired about the food here. All meals in our party were to say the least, below average, and very small portions, and considering the slimeed down menu and over pricing it makes it even worse. Real shame, as this was always an excellent restaurant and one we visited and recommended regularly. NOT ANY MORE!!! We believe it has recently changed hands and would appear not for the better, pity, 3 out of 10 only.
The Thatch Inn – NantwichI have to say this was by far the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I took my two kids for a Fathers day meal. There was nobody in the restaurant when we went in, but it was quite early so I thought that was ok even though a little unusual considering it was Fathers day. They had a special offer menu for lunch and early dinner. Which was 7.95 for 1 course and 9.95 for 2 courses. I ordered Calamari and a Pizza, my son just ordered 1 course flattened rump steak and my daughter chose from the A la Carte menu just a Margarita pizza. The Calamari was ok, quite a small portion so not such a good deal ordering the 2 dishes. My sons steak and my daughters pizza looked ok, but just ok. My pizza sounded really nice, Pizza with tomato, mozzarella, rocket italian ham and gran padano cheese shavings, very typical pizza you will find in italy so I thought it was a quite authentic choice. What I got was a margarita pizza with a few scattered leaves of rocket and a slice of italian ham laid on top pulled apart in an attempt to look like more and no Gran Padano at all. I took one look and was immediately disappointed with what sounded like a nice pizza looking so very sorry for itself. The waiter took it back and returned with a little slither of extra ham still no more rocket and still no sign of any gran padano cheese. It would have cost them nothing to at least attempt to appease a very disapointed customer so that we could all enjoy our meal. The waiter just dumped it down and said is that ok. I was honest and said doesn't really look much different which it didn't, the waiter then tried to explain it was because i had ordered from the specials menu (7.95) as appose to the A La Carte (9.49) so not a special as we where eating early in an all but empty restaurant, just a short measure! hardly the cheapest pizza at 7.95 either! I was disgusted by their complete lack of customer service, so told the waiter to forget it and said I didn't want it all. There was no offer to make good, no manager asking why I had felt so disappointed, no offer of another dish, just left me without a meal and my kids eating theirs, not a very nice Fathers day meal that turned out to be. As if that wasn't enough, when I asked for the bill they tried to charge me for the pizza I didn't have! I refused to pay for a meal I didn't have and was disgusted that they didn't even realise that they had ruined the whole meal for us all. Despite that I was willing to pay for what we did have. The manager or owner not sure what he was then threatened to call the police if I didn't pay for it ALL including the pizza I didn't have. Oh and told me I wasnt welcome back again! It was just horrendous I am 45 years old and have eaten in many restaurants throughout the world. Hands down this restaurant is the worst dining experience I have ever had.
Romazzino – NantwichHad a excellent meal very authentic enjoyed the environment and the ambience of the evening. In the past I have visited various italian and Sicilian venues and have eaten traditional foods at my close Sicilian friends homes. I find Romazzino on the same par x
Romazzino – NantwichAbsolutely the best Indian cuisine available in the Crewe and Nantwich Area, whether your eating in or taking home. I first met the owner about 30 years ago, whilst undertaking my first ever job, cleaning pots at an Indian restaurant in Crewe, he is the most honest/reliable guy you'd ever meet, his staff mostly consist of family and close friends. Call in, you won't be disappointed. Happy eating!!!!!
Naaz Tandoori – NantwichWhenever we go to Nantwich we visit Harrisons. It provides superb food, service and value in a lovely setting. Wish it was in our home town.
Harrisons Cafe Bar – NantwichVery much enjoyed steak night here. A very nice venue with pleasant staff!
The Cheshire Cat – NantwichEnjoyed a great meal at Firenze Nantwich. Would return and recommend to others!
Firenze – NantwichWent for meal with wife , meal I ordered was too hot for me, my fault. They saw I was struggling and changed meal for something less hot at no charge. Excellent service.
Red Melon – NantwichWhat a great place. Very warm welcome. Delicious food.
Amici – NantwichVisited for a spot of lunch. Nicely refurbished, good décor, staff friendly and helpful, food was very good ...
Red Lion Wybunbury – NantwichWe have eaten there twice recently and cannot fault the standard of service or food. The bar is buzzing but the restaurant is quieter. The atmosphere is happy and busy and the staff cannot do enough to make sure your evening goes well.
Residence Restaurant and Bar – NantwichMy husband and I had lunch at the Red Cow last Saturday lunchtime, I had home made shepherds pie and Veg it was delicious and my husband had haggis also very good. Am going to try a meal one evening. Great traditional pub, cosy and good food.
Red Cow – NantwichVery disappointed with La Perla. Manager's manner is brusque to the point of rudeness. Starter ok. My main course was microwaved and fairly bland. Desert, disappointing. People nearby were complaining their pizza was so tough that they couldn't cut it. If you want an Italian in Nantwich - go to Casa Romazzino. It's much better.
Amici – NantwichBrilliant atmosphere, wonderful ambience and scrummy food - what more could you ask for. We visit every time we come up from London to Nantwich - it puts some London pubs to shame! Well done Black Lion
Black Lion The – NantwichJust had a lovely meal at the new La Perla restaurant. What a very welcome addition to the Nantwich eateries! Great service, good food and authentic Italian ambience. I'd recommend a visit and have already booked my next meal!
Amici – NantwichI recently dined here for Sunday lunch and I have to say how delighted I was with the, not only the delicious food but the staff as well. They were very attentive and helpful! We will be back!
The Barbridge Inn – NantwichCome to visit friends every couple of months in Nantwich and we always come to The Cat. We stayed here one time as well and the room was lovely. The food is amazing and I love the building and the decor. Wish there was a Cat in York!!!! Xxxx
