Brilliant pub great prices for a mid week treat

First time here . Very friendly staff lovely meal .Will call again.

We had a lovely meal on a Wednesday evening! Food was really lovely and the atmosphere was cozy especially sitting in the pub part ! Definitely will return !!

Staff are lovely but not enough of them so service was slow. Sunday roast was very disappointing, reminded us of school dinners. I would not rush back.

Very crowded as pub was celebrating Bonfire Night but our tall, bald maitre d’ was marvellous and did his best to look after us. He did! Atmosphere was good, food nice and we’ll be back - but on a quieter night!

Nice place, good service, disappointing menu and choice of food. It was a Sunday so perhaps the regular menu might have been better.

Food and service were great. Lovely place, nice atmosphere. Did'nt feel rushed which was a pleasant surprise. Defo be going again to try the pizza

Booked a celebration meal for the whole family, 17 in total. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The good was very much enjoyed by everyone and everyone was able to eat together as all the meals were all served pretty much at the same time. They did a fantastic job looking after us. We had a great time thanks to all the staff. Would definitely recommend.

5 stars all round! The service was perfect, the food was beautiful even adapting the menu for a vegan in our party. Lots of veggie and vegan choices too. Reasonably priced. Great size portions. Tasty food. Lovely atmosphere. Clean. Perfect room temperature. Smiley staff. Beautiful renovation of the building. Fantastic.... Thank you so much The Royal Oak. Lovely pub with great beers and food.

We went here for the first time and was very impressed. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and found it very comfortable. It was not expensive very value for money and will definitely be going again.

Arrived with my family for Sunday dinner. They were very busy but unfortunately this was reflected in the service. Had to ask for cutlery as table wasn't set for arrival, after asking 3 times for a drink ended up going to the bar for it, 1 set of veg for 4 adults and 1 child... had to ask for the rest. I could go on! Kayley was lovely and Rob, the manager has since spoken to us. We will try there again but probably not on a busy Sunday afternoon! Food was good but didn't hang around for dessert so couldn't comment on that.
