Dalat is the best of the best restaurants in the UK. You can't find another place like this. Great services, friendly staff, very delicious foods AND absolutely good prices. We almost swallowed our own tongues while eating here. Great restaurant. Small but extremely quality.

The Malaysian Indian food I had in Malaysia was far much better than what I had at this restaurant. The food was very oily, especially the sambal. I ended up having sore throat the next day. In fact the fried fish served were tasteless. Also, the drinks served were too sweet. It's a horrible nightmare for me and my friends.

Great restaurant - Have been going for months. The last 3 or 4 visits/take-aways have not been quite as good the early days. New chef? Having said that - Its still the best restaurant in Northenden without doubt. !

LOTUS HOUSE, Palatine Rd, Northenden. My partner and I visited this restaurant this evening with our 5 year old twins. I was extremely impressed by the quality of service and the quality of the food. The staff were great with the children and the menu of Malaysian and South Indian/ Tamil food is well thought out. The food when it arrived was carefully and expertly prepared. I look forward to my next visit to this restaurant and I hope that their venture is a success.

I used to live in Didsbury and got a takeaway from here virtually every week, the food is amazing. It was great that you can watch the chefs preparing the food in front of you, which is different from what most takeaways do when they make your food behind closed doors. You can tell they use really fresh produce as all the dishes are really light, I especially loved the Singapore fried rice dish they do. The ribs they do as well as really good, again compliments to the owner for his ingredients. Don't get to eat there any more as moved away from Manchester now, highly recommended for anyone living in Northenden, Didsbury or Chorlton. Also it is much better value for money than all the Didsbury takeaways who in my opinion are all overpriced, including Globe.

Absolutely brilliant!!! As an Indian I'm really fussy about "Indian" restaurants, but this place is one of my all time favourites. Food is authentic Nepalese, great tasting and great value. The staff are really friendly, service quick and always with a smile. I travel 30 miles to get here because I think it's worth it.

On the 25th of December 09 me and my friend went to lotus. I was amazed they served banna leaves meals. I had lovely tasty banna leaf meal. We had alot of varieties, different types authentic malaysian and south indians dishes. The meal was served in a banana leaf with varities of vegetables, poppadom. My selection of dish was prawn cooked in red malaysian sauce with crab curry

Our first visit to this Malaysian and south Indian cuisine. The choice was excellent both as far as the Malaysian and South Indian food was concerned. The starter satay, honey chiken wings, chicken 65 and the fish fry was superb. the main course nasi pataya, nasi goreng kampong and the fish briyani was something not to be missed. An elderly man at the restaurant took so much of effort explaining the menu to us as first timer and we immediately knew what to order. The service and the taste of the food, I would say is first class. I would personally recommend this restaurant to any one.

We had banana leaf lunch Southern Indian/Malaysian style on Christmas Day and I must admit that the variety and quality of the food served definitely did satisfy my cravings. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys or want to try authentic Malaysian and Southern Indian specialities.

I have been going to Jai Kathmandu for the best part of 9 years, I have taken all my mates there, and have had a number of family functions there. The food is brilliant, i am vegetarian and the choice provided for vegetarians is brilliant, the Paneer Shaslik , Aloo Tikka pieces, mutter Paneer and dips are all fantastic, the sauces compliment the food very well, especially the mint sauce. If you are thinking of taking friends or family to this restaurant, dont think twice, Fantastic, service, family run, and excellent quality of food.

Went to look for Sardar restaurant but found out its been moved to The Palatine Bar & Restaurant and it has to be the worst meal ive ever eaten.I spent £28 on a takeaway and would of been better off eating beans on toast. The chicken madras as soon as i opened it looked liked it had been heated out of a tin. There was no taste at all and just lumps of chicken in a tomato sauce. The nan bread was dry and burnt and the onion bhajis dry and tasteless. Overall a very very bad meal and im more disappointed because ive been to Spice on the same road twice and the foods amazing
