Fabulous food, great service and atmosphere!

The service was excellent, the seating i.e. stuck in a cramped corner behind a screen not good, the main course of Chicken Tikka curry was OK but nothing special, chicken was like rubber. The place was cold and lacked atmosphere, more like a expensive venue food production line, would not revisit.

We visited twice whilst holidaying in Lucker. Whilst the whole place lacks character this is more than made up for by the excellence of the food, which is imaginitive and well presented. Friendly and courteous staff provide a good standard of service. Dog friendly as well. The covid precautions seemed proportionate and well managed. Would recommend and will certainly book again if we revisit Northumberland.

Lovely pub with excellent food, service & atmosphere. Nice selection of food and Covid restrictions didn’t impinge on enjoyment. Highly recommend scotch egg starter and pie of the day delicious .

Excellent evening .

We enjoyed our food* but I’m afraid the whole place was cold, clinical and lacking in atmosphere (we even moved from the restaurant to the - misnamed - snug). There are excellent Covid secure processes in place so perhaps that explains it, but any sense of a cosy pub atmosphere was entirely lacking. *apart from the over salted cabbage and measly ONE, albeit delicious, carrot. Wouldn’t return. Sorry!

Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely warm welcome. Visited whilst staying in the area with our children. No issue swapping a few things round on the kids menu for our fussy 9 year old. Plenty of choice on the menu for the adults and had a good range of drinks too. Would highly recommend the rack of lamb. Desserts were also delicious and the apple crumble was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food, excellent friendly service and lovely decoration .

We choose the Apple for a special dinner night and we definitely impressed on arrival, lovely place, clean warm and friendly. Service was friendly and courteous and the menu choice was broad enough with plenty for my GF partner to choose from. Food was timely and beautifully presented, both main and deserts (art on a plate). We will be visiting again as the menu was appealing to us both, actually booked for christmas eve as well, because we don't want to miss out. In terms of value for money, worth every penny.

My wife and I and 2 dogs had lunch on 22 October. The service was excellent. The food was extremely good quality. We will go back during our next holiday in Northumberland.

We had two evening meals at the Apple Inn, thourghly enjoyed them both. we felt very safe there.

Excellent dinner at the Apple Inn and today an excellent breakfast. Needless to say we are booked in twice more later this week to sample more of the menu! Very content with strict hygiene procedures while maintaining a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Full marks to staff in front and behind the scenes.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here with my family. Food was excellent, and very good value for money. Service very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed everything about our visit and would definitely return next time we are staying in the area, hopefully soon. We also felt very safe. The Covid measures were effective and not too intrusive. Everyone was following the rules when we were there.

The meal was excellent and as was the service even with the coved restrictions would go again I have only given 3/5 for atmosphere just because of the restrictions Dog friendly which is always a plus .

Food beautiful,staff very friendly and attentive.Only negative would be customers walking around the pub without face coverings but that's hardly the pubs fault!

Fabulous meal and very covid safe. Great service. Just what we needed after so long not eating out!
