Dyke Neuk – Morpethwe have been regular at Bouchon in Hexham since it opened last year, and we've enjoyed it every times. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys food. Keep on the hard work! And well done for your entry in the Good Food Guide.
Bouchon Bistrot – HexhamEating at Bouchon is a wonderful experience. The food is excellent, the service is good and the surroundings are great. I have eaten there on several occasions and the meals have always been of a very high standard. The owner is always welcoming. Highly recommended.
Bouchon Bistrot – HexhamReally lovely food, improved so much since the new chef started in August. Warm friendly atmosphere thanks to the new log burner and recent refurbishment will be going there regularly!
Adam and Eve – HexhamWe went to bouchon last week, coming all the way from Newcastle by train, and what an experience! from the arrival all the way to the goodbye, a fantastic experience. So good that we have booked again for their Christmas menu. We had the Crispy Mussel Galette, a sort of pancake with fresh mussels, leeks & carrots inside, and to follow we had the Calves Liver, which has a lovely shallot & nut crust on top. My girlfriend had the Onion Soup, totally authentic, and then the monkfish cooked in red wine. She was too full to have a dessert, but not full enough to share my chocolate profiteroles! A beautiful bottle of French wine recommended by the helpful & professional staff, all that for a very reasonable price. Perfect 3 f's:French, Friendly & Fun!
Bouchon Bistrot – HexhamTerrible quality of food, the lamb was tough and the chicken dish was OK apart from the lack of chicken. Will not return
Bengal Cottage The – MorpethIf there are four in your company, why not share a cheesie pizza bread and a plate of potato skins between you. For the main course I heartily recommend the Penne Al Forno - yummy!
Gianni’s – MorpethMay 14th - Excellent atmosphere/food and music. Lost the wait service for a few more minutes than I would have liked but the Hostess picked up the slack. Another good meal at Danielle's.
Danielle’s Bistro – Hexhamabsolutely awful, service was terrible and our dessert looked like it was tipped out of a mould. Waiter spilled our wine and coffee was only luke warm. asked to see the restaurant manager but he/she never appeared. A pity, this was fantastic once upon a time!
Cook and Barker Inn – MorpethThoroughly enjoyed a meal here in February. We were warmly welcomed by a pleasant Frenchman whom we instantly recognised as one of the former owners of The Black Door Restaurant in Newcastle-where we had a fantastic eating experience a couple of years ago. Based on this we expected a high quality meal which we most certainly got along with an exceptional level of service from the waiting staff. If you want an outstanding meal from an impressive menu but at a sensible price then Bouchon is without doubt the place to go.
Bouchon Bistrot – Hexhamfood was to a good standard but the atmosphere was very frightening. there was a lot of violence and drug taking going on in the place all in all a good experience
Dudley Hotel – CramlingtonThe restaurant is comfortable and well appointed with a good atmosphere and courteous, efficient staff. We found the food to be nothing more than adequate. The duck was flavoursome, but not as succulent as we've had elsewhere, the sauces seemed a little generic, the ingredients were not top quality. The compromise in food quality is balanced by the price which is reasonable for a pleasant, if wholly forgettable meal. If you want a good quality takeaway, it's recommended. If you want a nice night out, you certainly won't be disappointed. If you want a lavish feast to celebrate a special occasion ... spend the extra money and head to Stowell Street.
China Cook The – BlythA gorgeous location for fantastic food!! Well worth the drive!!
Dyke Neuk – MorpethI get take aways from here once a weekend and its the only Chinese I enjoy now. The prices are good and the restaurant has a nice decor. The two female staff are very friendly and always make conversation. Definitely recommended

Dyke Neuk – Morpethi go there quite often as the food is really nice
Three Horseshoes The – Blythsuperb starter, shredded duck soup & chicken sweetcorn soup , large portions. main course beef black bean peppers & chicken cashew nuts which had a ample side order of fried rice & fried noodles & beansprouts - very tasty, and the best prawn crackers ive seen & tasted, but what made our visit so enjoyable was the friendly quick service. along with the fortune cookies and complimentary choice of coffee or icecream , we even got a hot towel too!! well recommended
China Cook The – BlythVisited 13/11/07 - Really disappointed with the food and the Black Sheep was flat. This lovely, friendly Inn used to be one of our favourite places to eat in and around Alnwick
