Excellent pub and restaurant. Drinks and food are cheap and always to a VERY high standard of quality. The menu will make your mouth water. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is always cooked quickly so you never have to wait long. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a fabulous meal. 5 star rating.

Excellent service and quality of meal at an event catering for in excess of 100 people. Well worth a visit.

We tried the Angel's new extension for lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the food and service didn't match the pleasant surroundings, with apparent confusion amongst the otherwise friendly though invariably absent staff and a lack of flexibility in the kitchen (strictly first in first out), with some main courses being delivered before others fist courses. Shame, for with proper communication between restaurant and kitchen it could all have been so much better

From microwave to table in an hour if your lucky. Wasted an hour of my life waiting for food but hey at least it has good a location over the lake. Typical mass chain style menu and presentation. But the kids love the play area so you win some you loose some would recommend going for food somewhere else then taking the kids and having a coffee while they play.

The food is excellent with the secret ingredients of the now famous Mr Labas Miah. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Despite being spoilt for choice of Indian Restaurants in this part of Tynedale we always head for Saathi. The reason is simple, fantastic food in great surroundings. Prices are very competitive and the take away service is to be recommended.

Lovely cosy pub run by a lovely old couple. We found the food delicious and very reasonably priced, the couple who run the pub were very friendly and welcoming! We have been there many times over the years and quite often we are the only people in there as not a lot of people know it's there because it is such a small village! We will continue going there as long as it remains open, a real hidden gem!

I thought that Danielle's Bistro was wonderful. There was excellent service, me and my companion were served by a pleasant and attractive waitress by the name of Nicolina. The owner Sandro was very welcoming as well. The food was delightful and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant in the near future.

Just wonderful. From walking in to walking out I felt an all round pleasant experience. I was warmly greeted by charming and cheerful staff who led me straight to my cosy looking table. The atmosphere was pleasant with delightful music playing soundly in the background. The food was excellent, with my choice for the main course being the Venison loin, grilled pink with black pudding and red wine sauce. The chef had cooked these generous slices of game deftly, knowing exactly when to stop to present the meat at its best. It was accompanied with excellent roast potatoes and vegetables. The selection of wine was very considerable. The service was excellent, especially at very busy periods when still the waitresses were all so polite and helpful. One of the most delicious meals I have had in a while, I will definitely be returning shortly. Undoubtedly a must go.

While spending a week’s holiday in the wonderful countryside of Northumberland we had the privilege of finding this wonderful eatery, only wishing we had found this pub on are first night after spending 3 nights trying less enjoyable meals in the village. The welcome and help we received on entering the pub was fantastic the staff even found time to recommend us things to do in the area. The food was as good as we have ever had with fast friendly service which made us feel so at home. We recommend you try the chicken strips and the beef on the bone but make sure you leave room for a pud as the ice cream is to die for i hope you enjoy your meal as much as we did

Lovely food, lunchtime 2 course meal better priced than night time menu which is much more expensive, I would recommend going for the lunchtime special. Nice cosy atmosphere.

Since the new manager Scott Hughes took over in November 2006 the whole pub has changed. The atmosphere is great, the food is lovely and the service is fast and the staff are very welcoming. Children are allowed in and are made to feel special, they have got games and colouring books and pencils for them. Keep up the good work Scott as the other managers never had this pub as good as it is now.

Block and Tackle – Morpeth

verdi's served nice food, but there was no customers in at all even at 7pm, maybe a happy hour or a reduction of prices would attract more diners,

To be honest, when I used to go to the Adam and Eve it was, quite honestly, terrible. Now, however, it's been taken over by new management and the food is actually nice. Actually, it's gorgeous!! Thanks to Karen and Paul for making the pub a better place!
