I visited the anglers arms on several occasions and find the food is very good, british home cooking, mince and dumplings, braised beef just like mum would make. The staff make the visit another reason to go, very friendly and always happy to help, more so the more you get to know them. Dont miss out visit this charming Inn.

The Valley is known for it's fine indian cuisine and is always consistent, good quality, well priced and served up in a nice way. The surroundings are nice, set in the old station house at corbridge and the gimmick of the 'curry train' from newcastle still remains popular. Highly recommended, a nice trip out if you live in Newcastle also.

I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and can not fault the standard of the food or the service. The food was very tasty and the portions were substantial. The speed of the service was impressive and the staff were always at hand. I would and have recommended this restaurant, and others have been equally impressed.

This place has the lot, fantastic Sunday lunch cheerful staff sky sports pool table darts bar meals all day restaurant beer garden (safe for small kids) fruit/games machines all drinks are very reasonably priced

A favourite indian restaurant of mine, the food is superb and reasonably priced and the staff are excellent. Open until midnight at weekends, Manzil's is superb for a late-night curry!

My wife and I took two old friends for dinner there on a sat eve. Restaurant was nicely busy but staff were very attentive. Nice specials board.

The food is excellent value for money the beer is cheapest I have found and the staff are very welcoming and friendly I will definitely be going back there

The Black Bull in Haltwhistle is situated in the market place in the centre of town, as you go in you are greeted by pretty barmaids, a friendly landlord and a warm coal fire. The menu is outstanding, like that of a restaurant in London not a small pub in rural Northumberland! There is an excellent selection of vegetarian meals too. Our food was cooked quickly and with care and the dessert selection was mind blowing. After filling up on delicious food (the portion sizes were ample to say the least,) we retired into the intimate bar area and sampled some of the fine real ales they had to offer, all of which local. - And i might add it was fantastic to find ales on traditional hand pumps instead of push button draught dispensers. All in all this pub is a must for anyone who is visiting the Centre of Britain and Northumberland.

Very enjoyable restaurant and pub. They serve a range of food and the last time I was there I had a seafood dish which was very tasty. The best thing about this place is the nice atmosphere and ambience from the setting of this traditional old pub but with modern well formed food!

I had my wedding dinner at this restaurant just over a month ago. The quality of food was excellent, I found the staff very enthusiastic and the service was impeccable, it really did top off my special day. A big thanks to all the waiters and chefs for their hard work. I had a wonderful day and would be willing to pay the same again for that kind of service. Thanks again Christine Waterstone

The White Swan Is the best place for traditional food in morpeth. The quality is excellent the range of home-made food is very good and you are made to feel very very welcome even when it is really busy

Danielle's bistro is situated off the main road in Hexham (turn left at the Tap & Spile pub and it's on your left). It looks nothing from the outside but inside it is really nice and cosy with beams on the ceiling and candles on all the tables. The menu is displayed on blackboards on the walls and there is a great choice. The fillet steak is exceptional. Every time I have been here I have thoroughly enjoyed my food, it is delicious and well worth paying a little more for. This is my all time favourite restaurant. The wine list is also very extensive. The service is very good despite it usually being busy. You usually need to book as this is such a quality popular restaurant - especially at weekends. Try it, believe me you'll go back again and again. 10/10

I love indian food and Saathi is my favourite Indian restaurant. There are several other indian restaurants in the area but none of them compare to the quality of Saathi. Staff are very friendly and you are always made to feel welcome. I have been eating here since the days when it was called The Abbey Tandoori and it has since been refurbished and changed hands - although there are still a couple of familiar friendly faces from the Abbey Tandoori days! The decor is lovely and the food superb. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Someone should buy the White Swan. Give it a revamp, slap a bit of paint around and generally spruce it up. But don? sack the chef. Give him some space and let him express himself. I had Gammon and Chips. Alright, not sophisticated, but the best gammon I?e ever had. Chunky, juicy and full of flavour. My partner ordered the mince and dumplings, again not sophisticated, but a real English classic nevertheless. I had some. Tasted great. If they spent some money on the place they might find that their sitting on a goldmine for quality, traditional food.

The Pub aint a restaurant anymore but has recently reopened. It has been totally redecorated by the new management, family and friends. It has very friendly staff and customers and everyone is made welcome. Every Friday night is Karaoke night and live music is on Saturdays. Get yourself there for a good night out

Have visited lots of times as the food is usually excellent. Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago was below par although in a dozen visits we have found nothing to complain about previously, a one off we hope. The signature dishes are excellent, some using locally sourced produce. The cost we think is on the pricey side, but well worth a visit.
