Great food, reasonable price and friendly service

We spent a very enjoyable lunchtime at The Barbican Kitchen yesterday. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. They offer an express menu for £8.99 for 2 courses/ £9.99 for 3 courses or a more extensive menu if you are not as price or time conscious. I tried the tagliatelle for the main course with creme brulee for dessert and everything was delicious. We will thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Great food, especially the burger and the spicy chicken, shame the drink prices are so steep.

this is the most amazing cantonese meal i ever had in England it come so close to Hong Kong standard.

well after eating here, both myself was feeling sick and my partner was up all night being sick, and no we did'nt go on the piss up after the meal, we went home. We won't be eating there again that's for sure!

Ate last night, great setting (despite price tags on everything) and friendly staff. Unfortunately heating had broken which wasn't ideal in January! Food was very good, however Tagines were small in size, and don't think the 6 Mezzes would be enough for two. Bit expensive for amount, and extra for pitta, no starters/dips and expensive mint tea. Overall o.k. but could do a lot better.

I Recommend The Eastern Eye 100% It Has Great Service And Unbelievable Meals. They Have Poppadoms And Dips At The Start And Give You A Large Meal, Then Offer Delightful Dessert Selections, Then Free Sambuca And Tia Maria To End. With Mints. Although Not The Cheapest Of Places It Is Highly Recommended And Ideal For A Large Social Event Or A Small Meal. Service Is The Best I Have Ever Had, So When Looking For A Place To Eat Go To The Eastern Eye!

Highly recommended!!!! Platters food is always excellent, so much choice (if you like fish!).... The platter of fish is excellent, and more chips than you know what to do with! As for the takeaway, best fish'n'chips in town... no chicken though...shame!

We went back to Bistro One after a while away from Plymouth. December is not always the best time to experience good food and wine due to larger parties but this was an exception with an excellent atmosphere and sympathetic cooking. We ate simply with Venison as our main course with a lovely bottle of Spanish red wine. Faultless cooking and a smashing evening. This is an excellent Bistro we love to visit and will more in 2009. Best food in Plymouth. Always do corporate entertaining here. Guests we take always ask if they can go back next time. Reasonable prices, large portions and always delicious.

A small n cosy tuck-away serving authentic Cantonese cuisine, perhaps explaining the lack of variation on the menu.

Love, Love, LOVE the breakfasts in here, plenty of very nicely cooked food and what an atmosphere! The music alone would keep us returning time and time again. I had the 'Americana' breakfast with two egg, bacon and sausage and two large pancakes with a little jug of maple syrup. It's just right and I didn't eat again all day!

My favourite restaurant in Plymouth. No fuss, just great Seafood and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Best chips in Plymouth too - freshly made and just as they should be! Remember to book - it's not a huge place and they get really busy.

Very disappointed. Booked a table but sadly never got to eat there. On arrival were told table would be ready in 15 minutes, still no table available after 45 minutes. Finally gave up and was offered a meal at a nearby restaurant where the customer service was excellent.

Excellent excellent excellent pub food, really good prices and very friendly service. The lounge has been redecorated making the area feel bright and clean.

Got to be the best place for breakfast, coffee in Plymouth. Great for lunch too (but don't get there too late!) - beautifully prepared, unfussy food at reasonable prices. Great for vegetarians and even better if you eat fish.

Take away was rubbish, did not match advert in magazine thought i was at wrong restaurant, had English chef cooking the dishes not very Indian at all!!!
