About 2 Pound Street

No 2 Pound Street is an artisan cheesemonger, wine shop and deli in Wendover in the heart of the Chilterns. They specialise in artisan British and Irish cheeses, carefully curated wines sourced from small, niche producers and British charcuterie and deli products with much of the range available online. Many of the cheeses are aged in their own cave to ensure optimum flavour and wine experts are on hand to offer assistance. The in-store deli is open daytimes as well as Friday and Saturday evening and you can stop by for a glass of wine, a deli platter, a delicious Musetti coffee or an organic fruit juice. There are also regular wine and cheese tasting nights and the tasting room can be hired exclusively for special events.

Wow, wow, wow! We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday with a private wine and cheese tasting experience. Such a wonderful evening, incredibly hosted by Joe who is a superstar and made it so fun. Everyone had a fantastic evening and would recommend this to anyone looking to have a different evening experience.

A cosy setting with an excellently curated cheese and wine selection. James shows a trie passion for cheese and a distinguished taste that belies decades of experience. The tastings he runs at 2 Pound St are a combination of comfortable night out over an exquisite cheese plate and a high-class yet accessible talk on the byways of cheesemaking. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Me and my wife went for a cheese tasting of Caws Teifi. It was an amazing experience, the staff are always very friendly and welcoming, the cheese was delicious and there was always some good wine to pair with it. For £12 it was certainly worth every penny.
