About 3 Millstones Inn

Just a short stroll from the River Ribble in West Bradford and two miles from Clitheroe, the 3 Millstones is a Grade II-listed former mill that is now a restaurant with rooms. The building was rescued from dereliction in 2008 and a stunning accommodation suite with five ensuite rooms added in 2016. With views out across the rolling countryside, it’s a great place for a night away. Family run, Lauren handles front of house and Matthew runs the kitchen team, drawing on his 20 years’ experience as a chef. The food is modern British with much of the produce sourced from the Ribble Valley. Don’t miss the Millstones’ Seafood Tapas starter (Smoked Salmon, Thai fish cake, smoked kipper, crayfish tails, beetroot gravlax salmon, tempura tiger black prawn, luxury Greenland prawns and red pepper aioli) or for mains the Trio of Pork (Slow cooked Cumbria pork belly, rib eye pork steak, and pork sausage with sweet potato puree, twice cooked crackling and cider sauce). The dining area can seat up to 60 and there is a separate lounge area with comfortable sofas. And new in 2022 there's now an outside patio area with its own wood-fired pizza oven. The 3 Millstones is open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Really lovely lunch with 4 friends at 3 Millstones. Service was especially friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. Ambiance was so comfortable and relaxing we may have stayed a little too long?

We came for Sunday lunch, great table near to fire & nice decor. We were disappointed that the normal menu items were not available and we had to have a minimum 2 courses for £26. Sadly the smoked salmon starter was tiny and not good value, afew tiny strips and the odd prawn. The pate was tasty, extra toast was free of charge but the chutney was strange and did not add to the dish, the amount if pate was very small. The chicken & beef main were good but the leg of lamb was tough & fatty a poor choice, small portions again. There was not enough veg for 4 people, it looked like the 2 people next to us got more as similar size dish for 2! And the lemon posset was nice but half a glass small portion again. No one came to check if any of the courses were ok until the end. So overall felt disappointed as small portions and overpriced.

Fantastic lunch. We ate from the 3 course for £20 menu. The specials and a la carte menus are always exceptional and I guess I was expecting the same with perhaps smaller portions for the £20. In reality they served standard portions of each course making this a ridiculously good valued meal.

A perfect escape from the winter cold. Warm, inviting restaurant. Friendly, efficient staff. Plenty of food choices. Every mouthful was so tasty. Our only question is why on earth have we never tried it before.

The staff were brilliant - friendly, professional and willing to go the extra mile. The steak and kidney suet puddings were the best we have ever tasted! A lovely lunch out of Yorkshire.

One of our favourite restaurants, the food is always a constant, never lets us down. Matthew the owner is an excellent chef the food is always very tasty and very nicely presented. Rachel front of house and all the waiters and waitresses are always so pleasant. We always enjoy ourselves when we eat there. 5* always

Lovely meal and a fabulous choice. 4 of us for dinner in a busy yet cozy atmosphere. The service was superb and very friendly. We stayed for a couple of nights and we would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Lovely to walk into the smell of logs burning. Seating cosy and welcoming whilst providing privacy. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Food is reasonably priced and delicious - more home cooking style than haute cuisine. There is a comprehensive menu and pleasing choice for vegetarians. Will definitely revisit.
