Newly relocated to larger premises in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, 63 Degrees moved from its original site on Church Street. This modern French restaurant owned and run by the Moreau family. 63 degrees is not only the ideal serving temperature for food but in the hands of Eric Moreau, head chef and co-owner, is also the cooking temperature of a unique new technique he has developed. Eric has worked with many Michelin-starred chefs during his career and was previously head of R&D at high-end French traiteurs Riem Becker in Paris. His poultry dishes, cooked long and low at 63 degrees, have a texture and flavor all their own and are not to be missed. Try signature dishes like Stuffed chicken 63˚ style with mini potato pie or Lentils with baby vegetables and foie gras foam. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday and seats just 44 diners in a room that combines modern and vintage French touches. Eric Moreau’s son Alex and Kirsty McAlpine, have recently opened Bisous Bisous a traditional French Patisserie in Didsbury. Providing a truly authentic product made the traditional way, by hand. Baking fresh bread, viennoiserie, patisserie and macarons amongst other sweet treats. Find them on Wilmslow Road, Didsbury.
