About Adriano’s Italian Restaurant

Adriano’s has been a much-loved fixture of the Carlisle dining scene for more than 20 years. It closed for a period but re-opened at the end of 2024 under the stewardship of a group of former employees. The restaurant is right in the heart of the city on Rickergate, opposite the Civic Centre, and is open for both lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. The main menu features both classic Italian recipes and modern interpretations and there is also a separate Vegan menu and Happy Hour discounts at lunch and early evening.  There's a separate lounge area too where you can enjoying a relaxing drink before or after your meal or maybe try their signature cocktail, Adriano’s Amalfi Spritz.

What an amazing lunch! My husband surprised me with a meal at Adriano's on Valentine's Day. Our first time there but certainly won't be our last. Food, service and ambience outstanding.

It was ok, but very expensive. We went because the reviews were really good, but I felt we were rushed through food and I couldn't relax. The food was ok, the Bruschetta starter left a lot to be desired, especially for the price. I had the chicken and smoked salmon special, for nearly £25 I could have made it better at home. My partner had a calzone pizza which he said was not nice and he felt very disappointed with. The only saving grace was the garlic bread we got to share. The waitress we had was very blunt and a bit rude. When you're going out and spending £180 on a meal with the family, expectations are a bit higher.

We have now visited twice before gigs at the old fire station and can't wait to visit again. The food is amazing, spoilt for choice. Desserts are fabulous too. Brilliant attentive staff. Fabulous place for a meal.

Lovely evening at Adriano's, friendly, welcoming and happy staff. Possibly the best plate of olives (presentation, quantity and quality) that I've had. Tasty and fresh mains (1 x pizza and 1 pasta). Highly recommend this restaurant!
