Booked for lunch with friends, never having been to the pub before. Good choice of dishes on the menu - something for everyone. Food was very good, and clearly cooked to order from fresh ingredients. Generous portions, piping hot and served on hot plates. Staff were polite and friendly and serviced was good. Would definitely eat at the Alvanley Arms again and would recommend to others.

We had a fantastic Sunday roast at the Alvanley Arms recently. Good tasty produce and plenty of it. Good value for money too, will definately be be coming back!

Our party of 5 had a very nice meal at a pub I have been too plenty of times before. Staff were as friendly and welcoming as always and the food was plentiful and very tasty. Piping hot on warm plates. Nice atmosphere and quite busy. Bit of a trek from where we live but well worth it.

The service was really good from the staff bring us the food and drinks to our table. They were very polite. We were out with friends who came to visit us from Oxford, as we don’t often eat out. The only thing that let the pub down was that i ordered a steak burger and in my last bite of the burger there was a plastic sheet in it.

Lovely old pub , lovely fire making it very welcoming. However as the coffee machine was broken there was no hot drinks which included tea!! No apologies and apparently no kettle in the kitchen! The dessert that should have been warm was served cold. The staff lacked good customer service skills. Quite disappointing.

The "younger staff" were extremely helpful and attentive. Our table was booked for 1400hrs so we had a full choice of menu. My veggie roast was lovely.

The food and service are always good here but we were disappointed when we went for Sunday lunch to find that they had sold out of the slow cooked brisket of beef and that there was only one slice of turkey which was ordered as one of the alternative meals to the beef. After the main course we found that 50% of the deserts were also unavailable. Yes it was very busy but they must have known how many people were booked in

Went on Sunday after booking online for 7:30. Was informed on arrival that the kitchen closed at 7:30 and they would do us a favour and still serve us as long as we were quick. Found the staff rather rude afterwards, food was ok, children’s meals were nice, my fish pie was overcooked. Wouldn’t go back.

Really enjoyed lunch after walking from Little Budworth Common. My wife had the salad, which was amazing. I had the kebabs. Very tasty. Staff very accommodating.
