Sadly not a good start! Arrived at our booked in advance table and waited 21 minutes for the starter. With all other venues we have visited in Altrincham they offer a complementary role while we wait for our starter. This set the performance through out the evening, I am sorry, but the staff appeared to be fed up and I felt that they were Robotic and lacked inter personal skills, This was our first and last visit, I am giving 5/10 for the the Service 8/10 for the food so it is back to our usual high quality Restaurants we go to in the local area on a regular basis for us.

Bombshell
Had a disappointing tapas lunch this week - even though have eaten here many times in the evening and found the food excellent. Thought tapas was overpriced £4.75 each for 3 small chicken kebabs and 3 small gougons of fish - neither outstanding. Tomato and goats cheese was excellent. All in all felt very let down.

I visited this restaurant for the first time for recently having seen the reviews. We booked a table for 8pm and were kept waiting to be seated until 8.45pm. The bar staff were friendly whilst we waited however once seated the waiting staff were rude and slow. The food was ok but nothing special. Overall disappointed.

Really enjoyed choosing from the menu, as an unusual mix of ingredients and flavours, all of which were savoured. Very tasty and portion sizes were just right. More than we usually pay for a meal, but worth it.

We last ate at Amba for lunch last week with 5 colleagues. We have been many times before sometimes for a quick meal for 2, sometimes a big meal for 8-10. The food quality is excellent, the menu choice is varied and interesting, the service is perfect - attentive and knowledgeable but not fussy. Highly recommended

Amba is the best restaurant ever! The food is absolutely gorgeous - especially the fish lasagne - mmmm!! The ambience is gorgeous and it? nice and warm! The food isn't expensive at all and I LOVE IT!!

Never fails to please. Booked for weeks in advance on Saturday evenings. Last time had melt in the mouth cheese soufflé, sea bass and shared puds of chocolate fondue and banana tarte tartin. All excellent. Nice touch canapés with pre dinner drinks.

Fine dining quality at mid market prices, Amba combines the best of smart casual ambience with special occasion destination restaurant. The staff are down to earth, yet attentive, with a real service ethic without pestering. I don't have any association with the restaurant, but have just had consistantly good experiences whether it's really mattered, or for more routine meals out.
