Out of date restaurant ,dark and dinghy, awful food{soup tasteless like wallpaper paste.roast beef packet sliced with a bland gravy that sets} cutlery and furniture looks like it came from an auction. Needs total revamp.
Cliff
Excellent, the best, my mouth waters at the thought of it. I will be there again and again.

We celebrated my mums 70th birthday recently at Amelies and I can't recommend it highly enough! Excellent food, service and atmosphere, they really couldn't do enough to make us feel more welcome, thanks to you all
Mike
I find it rather odd that there are reviews for Amelies prior to 2008 when it opened. That aside, the place, staff and food are wonderful. Excellent value also.

All restaurants we visit are compared to Amelie's. None come even close. Amelie's is EXCELLENT - a quirky venue with very attentive staff and the most divine food which not only tastes superb but looks amazing. Very reasonably priced too. 11 out of 10.

Our first visit , & we loved it, the staff were all very friendly, lovely homely atmosphere, & the food was truly delicious, presented beautifully, we enjoyed every moment there, we will be visiting on a regular basis from now on, thanks so much!! from Julie & Garry Parkinson wigan

We have been to Amelies several times as we are lucky enough to live nearby. The food and service is consistently good with a wide choice for vegetarians and vegans. Don't expect ultra swish, the decor is very quirky and some rooms a little shabby but that all adds to the interest. Anna Maria is a natural host and makes you feel at home very quickly. The house rose is highly recommended and is good value.

Went to Amelies on Saturday September 24th for a family birthday. All seven guests were thoroughly delighted with the food, the staff and the restaurant although some of the wine is overpriced. Will definitely go again.

this is simply the best food I have ever eaten. Service is outstanding and I cannot wait to return sometime soon.
